Spencer Stone, one of three Americans hailed as heroes for stopping a suspected terror attack on a French train in August, was stabbed Wednesday night in the Sacramento area and is in stable condition, Air Force officials said.
The Sacramento Police Department on Thursday morning declined to identify the victim, but described a stabbing incident that occurred around 12:46 a.m. in downtown Sacramento.
Police received a report about a man in his 20s who had been stabbed in the 2100 block of K Street in Sacramento, an area with a number of nightclubs nearby.
Officers responded and found the man, who had been stabbed multiple times in his upper body, in critical condition, Sacramento Police Officer Traci Trapani said. The man was leaving one of the businesses and was walking east when he had an argument with an “unknown suspect,” Trapani said.
The assailant pulled out a knife and stabbed the man multiple times.

This attack seems to be related to the Oregon shootings as well. How come the heroes of the French train are all under attack in their hometowns?

We need heroes, though, in a very bad way.
Comic books, like Superman, Batman, Aqua man, Amazon woman, Captain America, etc., were so popular because we were able to read about HEROES. We could emulate them in our own way, even if it meant letting the three-year-old wear a cape around the house.
Who are our heroes now? I dunno. You tell me. It's sure not from the political front, is it? (Rhetorical)

I live in Sac and have been to that area many times.
It's none of that.
Gentrified. College kids. The young and the hip.
Restaurants and bars as far as the eye can see.
Good police presence.
