Texas Senator and Republican presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) argued the US should stop engaging in the fiction of trying to find these moderate rebels, and No one in their right mind would believe Putins assertion hes there to help go after the terrorists on Wednesdays Americas Newsroom on the Fox News Channel.

I don’t trust Putin one bit, but as long as he is killing rabid jihadis, many are going to give him a pass here.
They moderate their commands to murder us until after they have murdered them.
Bake em at 20K until permanent glow is achieved!
The enemy of my enemy is my friend. Putin is fight ISIS. But he’s also getting rid of Assad’s rebel problem and bolstering his image in the Arab world.
The Obama administration thinks that if the rebels win they’re going turn Syria into a nice pro-American country, kind of like Canada or perhaps Guam.
Obama doesn’t think that. Obama wants to bring the world into Shia style chaos.
Now, we do have plenty of military and foggy bottom types that do believe that crap....
Perhaps something got muddled, but these two statements seem contradictory. If Cruz believes their are no Syrian “moderates” the implication is that Putin is killing non-moderates - i.e., jihadist extremists. So how can he then say Putin’s not going after the terrorists?
I’m sure if questioned he can communicate better what he meant, but this is presumably a friendly media source, and it still ends up sounding contradictory.
“The Obama administration thinks that if the rebels win theyre going turn Syria into a nice pro-ISLAMIC country, kind of like IRAN or perhaps INDONESIA”.
FIFY
My take as well.
Hard to believe that Cruz is confused over the wisdom of our continuing support for the “moderate rebels” and the goal of overthrowing Assad.
Based on this article I still don’t know what he thinks. Bad reporting? Bad speech? Don’t know.
Reevers from Firefly and muslims are a bit similar
More insane neocon warmongering from Cruz, shaping up to be a very dangerous man.
Whether Trade, Immigration or Foreign Policy.
My only deduction is that he's either dumb or corrupt. And he makes sure to remind us often he's the smartest guy in any room.
The obfuscation that results from corruption.
He's reading a script.
Huh?
None of the players there are our allies or even the enemy of our enemies.
They are all bad actors.
Even Putin. He might be killing ISIS, as Trump points out, a good thing, but that’s a means to an end, and not his goal. That’s what Cruz is saying.
Putin has regional goals, and why shouldn’t he? The US under Obama left a power vacuum in the region waiting to be filled. Both Russia and Iran are eyeing the prize.
You don’t have to be a neocon to see that nor do you have to be a neocon to understand and use the power of American resolve to shape world events to our advantage.
I promise you that the end result of Obama’s disastrous foreign policy will bite America, hard. You don’t have to be quick with a trigger to see that. You don’t have to be quick with a trigger address it.
Putin and Iran need to know that there will be pushback from America. It doesn’t mean we have to go to war with them, only that it will be costly for them.
Personally I think the Kurds are the key.
Obama is welcoming "Rebel" refugees into USA without pause.
Russia has a solid foothold in Syria, propping up Assad.
Russisan ally Iran has a solid foothold in Iraq & Yemen.
Russia & Iran will control vast oil-rich territory and infrastructure.
