The top strategist to 2012 Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney doesn't think 2016 front-runner Donald Trump will even be in the race when the first votes are cast.
Stuart Stevens, an unaligned strategist who spearheaded Romney's successful bid for the GOP nomination, said Monday that Trump is likely scared of losing.
"I don't think he's going to be on the ballot by February 1," Stevens told CNN's Jake Tapper..."The greatest sin in his value system is to be a loser, and most people who run for president lose. I don't think he'll risk it."
Trump enjoys a solid, but shrinking, lead nationally and in early voting states. But he said last week, "If I fell behind badly, I would certainly get out."

Healing well. Doing most things normally now. Just no heavy lifting.
Thanks for asking, my friend.
Romney lost. Who cares what his people think?
Most politicians and the Media seem to think that this is just another election year. Well, I’d say after Obama, all is open and the consequences are coming...
Needless to say that the election criteria is a bit different this year...hah. Elect an ignorant beginner one time and expect something different the next is wishful thinking. Could be that the voters have learned a bit since then regardless of the MSM pandering to the Democrats.
Trump is the only way to go. The establishment people have given up on Bush and are now pushing Fiorina since Kasich bombed.
The media is busily creating a Tru8mp “fade” in the polls. The time will be ripe soon for someone else to try and vault past the Donald...they can only bend these polls so far.
Kasich bombed? But, the mailman story...
Even folks at yard sales and cashiers in the stores mention him, so i believe you are right about that.
