Following recent mass shootings such as Charleston, South Carolina and Roseburg, Oregon gun-grabbers are once again fighting with a renewed effort to disarm the American public.
As Democrats such as Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton attempt to use these senseless tragedies as a means for political gain while ignoring the facts, the truth is undeniable… Our forefathers saw the writing on the wall. They knew that our freedoms would be tested, often times taken for granted, but more importantly they knew that ‘We the People’ needed a means to protect ourselves.
That is exactly the same sentiment Dr. Carson shares in his new book “A More Perfect Union: What We The People Can Do To Reclaim Our Constitutional Liberties,” which is set to release Tuesday.
Citing that the Second Amendment is necessary to combat “tyrants” and “radicals,” Carson’s case in favor of the right to keep and bears could not be more truthful. Honestly, look at that the world we face today, individuals are being singled out and murdered for their faith in Christ while a tyrant sits in the Oval Office attempting to strip us of our rights…

In the book, the former neurosurgeon argues that firearms should be not restricted because “our founders recognized that ‘we the People’ could represent a significant fighting force if necessary to repel an invasion by foreign forces. They also knew that an armed population would discourage government overreach.”
“The founders feared an overbearing central government might attempt to dominate the people and severely curtail their rights,” Carson writes. “This, in fact, is the primary reason that the Second Amendment was included in the Bill of Rights.”
Carson acknowledges that many people might find it “ludicrous to imagine our federal government trying to seize unconstitutional power and dominate the people.” But citing James Madison, Carson said the founder “could foresee a day in America when radicals might assume power and try to impose upon America a different system of government.”

I still won’t vote for someone who was against going after Al Qaeda in Afghanistan following 9/11. I said from the get-go that trying to impose a central government would fail. We should have treated the place as what it is, a collection of city states and tribes, bribed those we could and killed those we couldn’t. But if a nuclear Pakistan can’t control their tribal areas, it was a fool’s errand to try to create an Afghan government that could control their territory. But to do nothing but negotiate with the Taliban as Carson suggested would have been worse.

Most people don't realize this. BC has internalized this and can now support the 2nd Amendment in its entirety. The msm and government wants us to believe that the 2nd Amendment is just about sporting, targeting, hunting, etc. But BC gets it... worth repeating again,...

It’s a good thing when a public figure changes their mind and sees the light. I like his reasoning too.

We have two front runners who are not “my guy,” both of which are bringing up good issues. Neither seems worthy of my trust. They haven’t convinced me they mean what they say, this time, yet.
