Dueling Petitions to Support, Close Gun Shop
Ammoland ^ | 1 October, 2015 | Dean Weingarten

In Virginia, one of the Bloomberg disarmist groups is attempting to shut down one of the few gun shops near the nations capitol.

One of the more destructive and sadly, successful, disarmist memes has been the alienation of the gun culture from education and the schools. In my recollection, it started with the destruction of rifle, shotgun, and pistol teams in the Universities, with many ranges being closed and never reopened as ROTC was chased off of Campus during the Vietnam war and after.

It spread to high schools and grammar schools, and reached a legislative high with the Federal gun free school zones act passed during the first George Bush administration. That law was ruled unconstitutional by the Supreme Court; but Bill Clinton, with enormous help from the old media, was able to have it passed into law again, with minor changes, in 1996. It has never been re-challenged in the courts.

The high water mark of the effect of banning guns from the schools was the Sandy Hook mass killing that took place in 2012. Schools shootings took off after the passage of the 1996 law, the increase most likely caused by a combination of the new gun free zones and the copycat effect promoted by the media.

The latest number on the petition to defend the Nova Firearms Gun Shop was 484.

The tactic of the left is to make guns socially unacceptable through control of the media. They are losing.

This but one of many reasons why I don’t want Michael Bloomberg to run for President. He too is a billionaire, and has vast life experience. He is also a control freak beyond measure. The compulsion to disarm our society is but one of the changes he plans to impose on us.

These guys have had a gun shop in Herndon for several years. It’s just 50 yards from the city hall, and there haven’t been any problems or complaints.

Sign the petition if you wish to support a good local business.

I guess that without guns people will have to kill each other in the old fashioned ways:

knife in the back
2x4 in the back of the head
poison
arson
strangulation
pushing off high place or into an oncoming bus
tossed into a pool of piranha or sharks (old Bond movie),
run'em down with a car,
head chopping a la samurai sword
being forced to listen to Ethel Merman sing "There's no business like show business,"
killed by an attack dog
eating really rotten food, which is kind of a poisoning
make them breathe in formaldehyde

and many other ways that people murdered SANS guns.

Don’t forget, the biggest school mass murder in U.S. history used dynamite, no firearms involved.

Making gun rights advocates themselves into social pariahs is a primary goal of the left & the sycophantic media, since an armed populace tends to resist coercive change. Techniques include:

Marginalization: “More & more guns in fewer & fewer hands!”

And: “Guns are owned mainly by old fat white guys! When that demographic dies off, so does opposition to gun control!”

Ostracism: “Don’t let your kids play in a house with guns in it. Tell the children who live there it’s just unacceptable to have guns.”

Villification: “Your right to own your `murderous death toys’ does not trump my right to feel safe!”

Vandalism: Cars with NRA emblems get keyed or worse.

SWATing: False 911 call by a liberal neighbor which brings militarized police down on a citizen’s house. Deadly outcome likely.

Also: Notify Child Protective Services that a dangerous situation exists wherever a gun owner lives.

Low intensity CWII is on, folks.
