No amount of murder seems likely to result in gun control any time soon. So lets do what we can to stop the lunacyby reserving the limelight for the vet who rushed Thursdays shooter.Forget the 26-year-old zero who murdered 10 innocents at Umpqua Community College on Thursday morning.
The Chris to remember is 30-year-old Chris Mintz, the student and Army vet who was shot at least five times while charging straight at the gunman in an effort to save others.
Mintz did so on the sixth birthday of his son, Tyrik.
Its my sons birthday, its my sons birthday, he was heard to say as he lay wounded.
When word of Mintzs heroism reached his kin in his native North Carolina, his cousin Derek Bourgeois was hardly surprised.
It sounds like something he would do, Bourgeois said.
Bourgeois was somewhat amazed that a guy who survived a combat deployment without serious injury had come so close to being killed in a small Oregon town not unlike the one in North Carolina where they grew up together.................."
Wow! What a hero! Hate to mention him in the same sentence as obama, but was Chris mentioned at Obamas gun control news conference? .....I realize the chance is nil...
Nice Reagan quote

Has what sort of weapon the devil used been revealed yet?
Wonderful Mr Minz.
However I am not going to forget the shooter. Seems that he has Islam ties. No I am not going to forget him.
Has it been posted what variety of weapon the devil used?
Sorry I am so late to the ping...I’m not real sure what the status is, but prayers are never a bad thing, so prayer warriors, please lift up in prayer all who need them in this situation. God Bless you all!
