Obama: 'Our thoughts and prayers are not enough' (STFU)

A visibly frustrated President Obama offered condolences to the victims of the mass shooting at an Oregon college on Thursday, but he added that "our thoughts and prayers are not enough" to stem an epidemic of mass shootings in the United States.

Having now spoken after 15 such senseless killings during his administration, Obama again called for "common sense" legislation aimed at preventing gun violence, and he mocked opponents of past initiatives he has pushed.

"Each time this happens, I'm going to bring this up," Obama said during emotional remarks in the White House press room.

Obama said he has been to Roseburg, Ore., where the shooting took place, and "there are really good people there" who are the latest victims of gun violence.

"Somehow this has become routine," Obama said. "The reporting has become routine. My response here, from this podium, has become routine."

"Thoughts and prayers are not enough"

Oh I don't know, I've been praying that Almighty God will eventually come to the end of His patience and lob an Old Testament style lightning bolt at that filthy Kenyan sack o' sh*t and light him up like the 4th of July.

We may yet live to see Obama meet an end not unlike that of the Romanian dictator Nikolai Ceausescu.

He also stated that he had proof that communities that had the toughest gun laws had fewer killings. Well, how does he explain his old home town of Chicago? A couple of weeks ago they had 45 shootings over a weekend, and this last weekend, they had 15 shootings in 15 hours.

No, we need to take action. We need to allow students on campuses to defend themselves. Enough with our “thoughts” all the time.

Keep in mind this ‘Tips’ from the Gun Grabber playbook:
PREVENTING GUN VIOLENCE THROUGH EFFECTIVE MESSAGING
HIGH-PROFILE GUN VIOLENCE INCIDENTS
OVERVIEW
#1:DON’T HESITATE TO SPEAK OUT.
The truth is, the most powerful time to communicate is when concern and emotions are running at their peak.
#3:DON’T ASSUME THE FACTS – AND DON’T WAIT FOR THEM
Experience tells us that the specific facts of a high-profile gun incident are revealed over time. If we jump to conclusions about those details, we could find ourselves at odds with reality as events unfold.
So, the smartest thing to do is avoid linking our message and arguments to any one set of partially-revealed facts.
#8:DON’T LET POLICYSPEAK DRAIN THE EMOTION FROM THE MOMENT.
There is often a compelling case to be made for immediate action, pivoting from the emotion of a high-profile incident to calls for legislative action or specific policy changes. Those who seek to make that pivot have to be careful not to drain the emotional power out of the moment. An emotionally-driven conversation about what can be done to prevent incidents such as the one at hand is engaging.

Never mind, “(e)ach time this happens”? That makes it sound as if you are causing these events.

Well, there IS Obama's whole "War On Christians" thing...

As FReeper BobL wrote:

...but then he [Obama] CLEARLY made people that were predisposed to kill American Christians feel “comfortable” in their actions.

Incitement to riot and murder, anyone?

Did he mention that it happened in a “gun free zone” like so many of these mass murders have?

“I almost want him to overstep his bounds.

Cmon you tool, issue your executive order banning guns.”

I am with you. I hope he pushes the envelope even further before he leaves office. It may open some people’s eyes.

School admin says it is not a ‘gun free zone’ and some veteran students there wanted to intervene but were blocked by school officials who locked the doors, according to one report which described one of them as carrying a sidearm.

Do classrooms not open from the inside? So that people can get to fire exits if needed?

This stinks.

I don’t know. They may have stopped them not wanting them to be mistaken for the shooter when the cops show up.

Stopped them with mace? Veterans? This means security would have had to have been in the halls. This also means that the college could auto-lock all doors. Not buying it.

Maybe they were fire doors, not classroom doors, or even main entrances. The report didn’t say how exactly the frustrated vets were blocked, it may have been they were persuaded verbally [but I doubt that] or it may have been the way in was blocked; if I remember right the vets were in another part of the campus and the impression I got was them trying to get in, not out.
Maybe someone else can clarify.

I don’t mean to come down so hard.

This thing was/is an op. The casualties are simply necessary fodder for The Agenda. Breaking a few eggs and all that.
