Chicago has one more murder, 43 more shooting incidents and 57 non-fatal shooting victims this August, compared to last year. Overall crime is down 8 percent from January through August of this year compared with last. However, there have been 47 more murders, 224 more shootings, and 187 additional non-fatal shooting victims than last year.
