He should have demanded to have 100 Little Sisters of the Poor, and Kim Davis, seated in the front rows at his welcoming ceremony at the White House, and at his speech to Congress.

What a coward. Francis basked in the glory of the spot light all over the East Coast, but slinks in to visit with someone who actually stood against the forces of Satan, without a public word from him. Guess he didn’t want to mess up his fawning media coverage.

The Pope doing this quietly makes sense to me. He could talk with her and find out her side and give her his support and encouragement. I find that bether than doing it “just for a photo op” as one expects politicians to do.

This morning, CNN was having a fit about this secret meeting. They concluded that it was a cordial, cursory meeting that didn’t really mean much.
They spent more time on it than on the Russian planes over Syria.
