In an interview with TVLine, Simpsons showrunner Al Jean reveals that the show's 27th season will be a big one for Waylon Smithers, lovelorn assistant to megalomaniacal businessman Mr. Burns: After decades of pining, Smithers will finally come out to his boss.
"In Springfield now, most people know he’s gay, but obviously Burns doesn’t," Jean notes. "We deal with that in two episodes."

I once saw the creator say he’s more of a “Mr.Burnsosexual” than a homosexual. That actually makes it kind of funny.
I never thought about this, but doesn't this make Smithers and "Octogenarianophile"? Kind of like a pedophile, but in reverse, queer for old withered guys?

Now that they’ve got you hooked; just keep watching this filth in the name of entertainment and pretty soon, the whole perverted mess won’t seem so bad. It wouldn’t work if anyone woke up and realized what’s being done to them....or would it? I guess most people think they’re immune from being gradually desensitized to depravity or we wouldn’t be so far down the road to collapse.

The Simpsons has not been funny for many years. The writer is looking to get an Emmy or maybe a pat on the head at parties from other liberals.

No fault divorce normalized.
Birth Control normalized.
Cohabitation and sex without marriage are normal now.
All of this is part of the same agenda. It’s not the beginning or the end, but it’s time to realize what you believe or are committed to, because the world is at a moral vacuum.
Gave up on it years ago. Just got less sensical. I loved the old episode about thermodynamics, or where Bart causes the beer can to explode.
