Rep. Peter King, a Republican from New York, says Tea Party Republicans like Texas Sen. Ted Cruz are to blame for the resignation of House Speaker John Boehner.
I think he could of been influenced by the pope being here yesterday and that its just time to end the fighting thats gone on, the needless fighting thats gone on, King said to radio host John Grambling on Friday. But having said that Im disappointed. I think John was as good as a speaker that you could find and hes undermined by people in his own party from day one. Its truly tragic.
King singled out people like Cruz as the culprits of Boehners demise.
Yes. Yes, people like Ted Cruz, who believe in shutting down the government, want to shutdown the Department of Homeland of Security at a time when the ISIS has been highest, added King, saying Boehner couldnt get much done because there was a Democratic president and a Democratic Senate.
Whenever the tough decisions had to be made, John made them, said King. And at every stage though, he was undercut by people in his own party. And theres 40 or 50 and thats it. A small minority, but they were willing to hijack and blackmail the party.
King said California Rep. Kevin McCarthy would probably be speaker, but the Ted Cruz-people would push for an ally as Majority Leader. King said he found it really offensive there was a push to remove Boehner.
He deserved better than this, added King. I feel kinda bad for him. Hes probably better off.
The Long Island Republican, who earlier called Boehners resignation a victory for the crazies on social media, said those who opposed Boehner had unrealistic expectations.
I mean seriously they basically want to shut the government down over the whole issue of Planned Parenthood, King said. The National Right to Life Committee and the most pro-life members of Congress say that shutting down the government would not advance the cause of the anti-abortion movement whatsoever.
But these guys have latched onto that as a reason to, they were going to basically attempt to remove the speaker if he was not able to get Planned Parenthood defunded even though the president would veto the bill and the Senate would not be able to pass it and that in that case we should shut the government down.
And thats why I said it was a victory for the crazies, he concluded.
Well played. The sentence works with either definition.
What are you worried about Pete?
You can still cash those lobbyist checks.
Well fine. Let’s have a new Weeper...I mean Speaker who doesn’t need to be hijacked and blackmailed, or whatever they want to call it.
King weighs in for the leftist, knucklehead wing of the party.
“Boehners Fall Result Of People Like Ted Cruz Who Hijack And Blackmail The Party
It is actually lying, POS A-holes like Peter King who caused it.
Peter King is just Cuomo’s water boy....
When Cuomo needs something, King boy is right there, panting with his tongue hanging out, yes master, yes master....he is nothing but a shill hack!!!!!!!!!!!
Note to Mr. King: it is not your party. It is America’s party, and America is about to take it back.

\o/
yay Ted!!!!
Boehners legacy 18 trillion, 400 billion, 959 million .IN DEBT
The scumbag POS should be in prison along with the rest of the POS scumbags in CONgre$$ who hijacked and looted the republic.
FU Peter King
people like Cruz have backbone, political courage, and principles. That’s what the RINOs are afraid of.
We get it King. In your world, Obama = good. People who want America to do well = bad.
I sense that people are ready for an old West shootout of REAL DIFFERENCES, not just political slogans that have no chance of real action. While Trump is far from a conservative, he does represent real action in a conservative direction on immigration, guns, national pride/security, and so on. Sanders of course represents the opposite.
Just another elitist crying the blues because people are learning what crooks they are. No sympathy here for anyone in the District of Corruption. Cry all you want, the practice will do you good.
The fear is palpable. I’m going to buy more popcorn. The next year is going to be fun.
Eternal thanks to Ted Cruz!!!
I would like to thank Peter King for confirming what I said to my wife.....
Without Ted Cruz Boehner never resigns.....Ted Cruz is helping the GOP progress.
Nobody is saying it but I still think Boehner’s resignation is somehow related to the meeting between house conservatives and Ted Cruz the day before.
