You wont see it being reported openly in the Mainstream Media. Nor will you hear mention of it by any of the establishment Republican candidates, but within that vortex of supposed silence there has been a coordinated shift within the most influential Republican donor class in favor of the campaign of Marco Rubio.
This shift in allegiance by Republican power brokers was first reported upon here nearly two months ago in a report titled, Big Donors Warn Candidates On Eve Of Debate: Take Trump Out
Of all the main stage candidates from the first debate who participated in the second debate, it was Marco Rubio whose performance improved the greatest. Part of this improvement was the direct result of the campaigns confidence that help was on its way in the form of both donation dollars and favorable media coverage should he prove himself worthy of such.
Senator Rubio did just that and is now poised to become the Republican establishments new 2016 choice, supplanting the greatly diminished Jeb Bush campaign.
Since the second Republican presidential debate last week, Rubios standing in the polls has improved dramatically TRIPLING into double-digits since just last month. Yesterdays announcement by Governor Scott Walker to end his own campaign was the direct result of Republican power brokers urging the Wisconsin governor to do so in order to help make way for the now increasingly popular, Marco Rubio. These requests were initiated days before the most recent GOP debate, and then intensified in the days that followed, resulting in what appeared to be a sudden decision by Mr. Walker to withdraw from the race.
When contemplating the kind of influence now aligning itself with the Rubio campaign, one need look no further than those who until recently were the primary financial backers of Scott Walkers White House aspirations the Koch Brothers. Current media reports will suggest the influential Koch Brothers to be stunned and disappointed by Walkers plummeting support among Republican voters but such reporting is at least a few weeks behind real-time. Both Charles and David Koch are said to have already shifted their allegiance and their considerable financial machinations to the suddenly-resurgent, Marco Rubio.
D.C. Whispers first reported on the Koch Brothers influence as well as their disdain for Donald Trump back in July:
Rift Forms Between Donald Trump & Koch Brothers Political Machine
When one adds the Koch Brothers support to Mr. Rubios existing political patronage of billionaire auto dealer, Norman Braman, the Rubio campaign is now poised to become the single most well-funded Republican candidate in the field with the possible exception of Donald Trump.
"Hell drop out when he has to start writing his own checks. Hes been given free publicity for months. By the time people get down to voting he will need to actually start spending real money. Trump wont do that. He doesnt have the fortitude to play the long game. Thats why he met with Priebus. He wanted a guarantee that if wins the nomination the GOP would be donating to his campaign just like it would Jeb Bush or the others. Trump wanted to make sure hed be getting that same $300-400 million the RNC handed over to Mitt Romney in 2012 because he has no intention of even coming close to spending that amount of his own money. Hes all hat and no cattle mark my words.
So says a trusted D.C. Whispers source on the issue of Donald Trump dropping out by late 2015/early 2016 which if true, would certainly appear to finalize the path to the GOP nomination for Marco Rubio.
Interested voters would do well to watch Mr. Trump very closely in the coming days and weeks for any validation of the above.
DEVELOPING
I don’t think Carly even got a peck on the cheek from GOPe. They just USED her.
To borrow a line from Tom Hanks to Sela Ward in the flick “Nothing in Common”.......”Seduced, and abandoned!”
Have to admit, that is a fair concern. After seeing the way the GOP-E has sacrificed entire Senate seats (i.e. Cuccinelli, O'Donnell) because they didn't like the candidate chosen by the voters, it's not a stretch to presume that they'd also withhold funds from Trump should he win the nomination.
Oops, Cuccinelli was running for Governour - but the same idea applies.
To me, Rubio comes off as a wet-behind-the-ears school boy. He has no “Presidential” qualities and would get smacked down like a child by the dems nominee. He’s a sure recipe for a loss.
At least the Republican wing of the Uniparty is no longer pretending at who they are and what they want. I’m soooo glad I got out the Republican Party last spring.
If they do get Senior Amnesty the nomination I’m not voting on that line PERIOD.
Pretty boy floyd is.the.new.great gope hope. Carly is sooo yesterday
Really breaks my heart to see her get her just deserts.
I thought from the very beginning that the RINOS and GOPe’s would go with Rubio if little Jebby flamed out.
It all rings true to me. Walker isn’t smart enough to be subtle about not telegraphing what the donor class told him. He spilled the beans that he was told to get out to help consolidation around another GOPe-favored candidate.
Trump has succeeded at one thing and that is destroying Jeb Bush. By doing that he has increased the GOP’s chances of winning next year, because Bush was a terrible candidate who was inexplicably given a 100 million. Rubio has a far better chance of winning.
Trump has subtly telegraphed many, many, many times in speeches and interviews that he is very reluctant to spend much of his own money on his campaign. He didn’t become a billionaire by spending money easily. He will constantly be making excuses for himself as to why he “doesn’t need to” spend money all the way to November and will cut himself off at the knees. If he’s up in the polls he’ll say he doesn’t need to spend because he’s already on top. If he’s down in the polls he’ll say he doesn’t need to spend because he’s going to lose no matter what.
It needs to become a Cruz/Rubio race. Conservatives putting their hope in anyone else but Cruz is setting themselves up to lose the primary.
Rubio’s job was to split the “not jeb” vote in order to hand florida over to jeb.
Rubios job was to split the not jeb vote in order to hand florida over to jeb.
It’s Rubio and Jeb who are splitting the amnesty vote. Even though there are others on the diaz who support amnesty, such as Carly and Huckabee, they are not primarily amnesty vote-getters. Rubio and Jeb are PRIMARILY amnesty vote-getters. If Rubio stays in, he takes votes from Jeb.
That’s the way I see it.
I just don’t trust the Rube. He was stupid enough to trust Schumer—Chuck I hate conservatives and will do anything to destroy them Schumer!
After hearing this phrase for 35 yrs. “Comprehensive Immigration Reform” my BS detector goes off the scale because I know they are open border amnesty shills, and the Rube blathers this lie continually and I am not buying this lie anymore.
Jeb always had a problem with the “not jeb” vote. This would mean a certain number of RINO loyalists would just not vote for jeb. Jeb has a ceiling and needs to split the rest up as much as possible. This is why we ended up with such a massive split.
The insiders do not believe Trump will actually spend money.
Yep do you really want a guy who can be suckered by Chuck Schumer dealing with Putey and rest of the Axis of Evil?
To think, all the GOPe ever had to do was support the rule of law and they would be the front runner of their silly old party. Oh well.
Core issue for me as well. We need a wall (physical and/or ‘well armed greeters’) and an Executive branch willing to enforce our laws.
From what I see Cruz is the strongest conservative, the brightest bulb out there. BUT, I see Trump as the most capable, the most likely execute successfully. I’m leaning towards the candidate who will most likely win and once in the hotseat do things a career politician would never dream of.
