I truly doubt that any AP “journalist” would be capable of passing a real first year physics class. The “denying” comes from these idiots denying the fact that - compared to real science types - they are complete idiots.
Which, of course, is why they went into journalism.

Our guidance is to use climate change doubters or those who reject mainstream climate science and to avoid the use of skeptics or deniers. The goal has been and still is, to pretend that global warming is significant enough that it presents a serious threat, and that it is settled science
Neither are true.

Declare an emergency, and place yourself in charge of protecting the people (planet).

The first time I saw them referred to as “deniers” I figured it was a great use of the language, as “denier” is always associated with the Holocaust. Glad to see them stop that usage.
