An impressive figure has burst on the American political stage who embodies a similar style and America might just need her now as Britain needed Thatcher then.
With Carly Fiorina's emergence as a formidable Republican presidential candidate — and as the only woman in the lineup — naturally, comparisons are being made to Thatcher. While it is easy to connect the dots as both are strong women leaders who espouse conservative principles, when specifics of policy ideas, background and even timing are considered, Fiorina's donning of the "American Iron Lady" mantle is quite compelling. Delving a bit below the surface, the similarities between the two are surprising.

She is the darling choice of the GOPe, that's how she got from 'the second row' to front page 'rising star'.
She was the one who the GOPe slected to confront Trump on his alledged offense to females, and is being promoted by the GOPe and the Dems , even now.
The GOPe and the Dems want anyone who can get Trump off the front page, and whose message is that neither party is listening to their core and base voters .

Carly? Iron Lady? Barf! She is eminently malleable with very little heat necessary to make her react.
Nope. Not even in the same class.
One of the things I like about her is that, like Thatcher, she doesn’t do the “vote for me because I’m a woman” garbage. Barry did identity politics (his faux “black” persona) and Hillary is obviously doing them too.
The other thing I think is that Fiorina will be tough enough to actually cut government and get rid of the deadwood, which Thatcher also did.
