On the 10th of April 2010, the Polish military plane, Tu-154, was involved in a fatal crash in the city of Smolensk, Russia, killing all the crew and passengers aboard. The deaths included the Polish President and First Lady, the last Polish President in exile, the Chief of the General Staff, Commanders-in-Chief, the Chairman of the Polish National Bank, the President of the Institute of National Remembrance, as well as a number of MP's, senators and prominent figures of the Polish elite, among the 96 dead.

April 10, 2010 Polish Air Crash

This incident, which includes these prominent deaths, naturally calls for a complete and transparent investigation - the natural work of international aviation agencies with extensive experience is just such investigations.

Yet, on the day of the crash, the Polish government decided to leave the investigation solely in Russian hands, without securing the rights to appeal to international organizations, aviation organizations, and relinquishing the right of an inspection, or any efficient supervision over examination procedures.

Specifically, the Polish government refused to consider any help from NATO, and did not attempt to gather any support from other European Union countries. As a result, all the evidence gathered has been left on Russian soil, including confidential military and security codes belonging to NATO's armies, "black boxes", and other flight recording devices containing all flight parameters.

None of this evidence, as well as any debris of the wreckage, has ever been returned to Poland.

This evidence has been held hostage in Russia for 1988 days

You should find some other way of discrediting Putin and Russia. Siding with muslims and Chechens is a really bad idea.

Alexander Litvinenko, by his own descriptions of them, clearly denounced the terror attacks there. Al-qaeda-type islamists (jihadists) would never condemn a terrorist attack. In fact, he claimed Russian agents were mixed in with the terrorists. That they assisted in the attacks. He, as a former Russian operative, claimed Russia, in some cases, staged them, at least early on, in order to wage war on the Chechens. He was not supportive of the terrorism.

No, they want the old Russian Empire.

Which is a different thing, and possibly more confrontational in some places, less in others.

Go a little further back and you’ll find Poland was indeed a very free country country with a long, long history.

This "all Muslim peoples are fundamentalist and bad" nonsense needs to die. We do not say this of the Kurds, who are incredibly Pro-American and among whom our soldiers went disarmed, without body armor, and mingled in peace. (They couldn't do this anywhere in Iraq.) And it is among the Kurds that Christians have found protection and safety from ISIS. The Crimean Tatars can be another example. I see the marching in protest, no women or girls with veils, but with cell phone cameras protesting the Russian government randomly picking people from off the street, torturing them, then leaving their brutalized bodies somewhere to be found. And the Russians then say, "they're terrorists," and other things similar to what you say.

On a religious level, Islam of any kind, whether moderate, Sunni, Shia, whatever bizarre variation, is a false religion. Just like Buddhism. But it's a straight out lie that every Muslim group is going to cut people's heads off.

By the way, there is no doubt that many if not all the terrorist attacks supposedly committed by Chechens were in fact FSB operations. FSB agents, for example, were caught planting explosives in an apartment building basement. The packages they planted was confirmed as explosives. The regime claimed they were bags of sugar. All evidence of this was destroyed. The local police station had evidence stolen. A journalist was killed. The regime there claimed it was a training operation to see if the local population was paying attention to suspicious activity.

Meanwhile, Russkies in their state media openly accuse the United States of being behind the 911 terrorist attacks. Projection? Yes, that’s what leftists do.

Russia projects its own tendencies on the West. America: love it, or leave it.

Russia has military friends in its Collective Security Treaty Organisation (CSTO: members listed below). Iran is an observer in the CSTO.

This is conspiracy porn. The Polish govt already ruled this a pilot error with interference from the politicos on the Polish airplane who wanted to land ASAP. The Poles would not have spared the Russians in the investigation. And no one was shot on the ground. All bodies were recovered and autopsied.

“This is conspiracy porn.”

Multiple independent investigations by governmental and non-governmental agencies outside of Poland and Russia have determined the Polish aircraft was destroyed by explosives before it plunged into the ground in tens of thousands of pieces. Such independent findings cannot honestly be dismissed as a mere false conspiracy theory, because the evidence they cite in support are thoroughly effective in refuting the Polish Government investigative report.

“The Polish govt already ruled this a pilot error with interference from the politicos on the Polish airplane who wanted to land ASAP.”

The Polish Government responsible for publishing the report were the political opponents of the Polish Government who were killed aboard the flight to Smolensk. Consequently, the Polish Government responsible for the investigative report had the motive, opportunity, and means to have “ruled this a pilot error” in spite of the uncontroverted evidence the crash was not pilot error and was due to hostile explosives.

“The Poles would not have spared the Russians in the investigation.”

False assumption, and a rather tasteless false assumption given the purpose of the flight was to attend a memorial for the victims of the previous Russian mass murders in 1939, which previous Polish Governments colluded with the Russians to deny before independence from the Soviet occupation of Poland. Not only is it possible for the successor Polish Government to have collaborated with Russia to suppress the Russian role in the incident, in some of the proposed scenarios some of the individuals later to be principals in the successor Polish Government are suspects in collaborating with Russia to destroy the aircraft and the Polish Government aboard it. Consequently, it cannot be assumed without proper evidence that the successor Polish Government and its report are above suspicion, especially when the forensic evidence flatly contradicts that government.

“And no one was shot on the ground. All bodies were recovered and autopsied.”

That is a false statement. Not all of the bodies were recovered at the time of the investigative reports nor to the present day. Without a recovery of the bodies, there naturally cannot be a complete set of autopsies. Example:

The death certificates of the victims are cursory, barely containing any basic information, and some certificates are missing. There is doubt (no proof has been provided) that any post-mortem examinations were ever performed in Russia; none were undertaken in Poland, as opening the coffins was strictly forbidden. Families received the bodies of their relatives in sealed coffins, under the threat that they would be prosecuted under Russian criminal law, if coffins were opened or tampered with. No medical evidence has been produced so far.

Shortly after the funerals took place, Russia sent a number of coffins back to Poland with anonymous human remains inside, and claimed that thorough DNA examinations had been performed. Even these unidentified remains, released for burial, had never been inspected. There is no post-mortem examination data available.

All legal evidence is kept in secrecy. Polish authorities have had admittance only to some of the Russian reports, but not to the evidence itself, allegedly accumulated in Russia. The only interrogation ever performed in the presence of Polish army prosecutors in Russia has been withdrawn from files and replaced with a designated updated version, contradicting the original.

That is not what the official Polish report stated. Are you saying the Poles covered up for the Russians?

“Are you saying the Poles covered up for the Russians?”

No, there are many members of the Polish legislature and counterintelligence services who are saying so. Additionally, there are a number of officers in the German and other non-Polish intelligence services who are saying the highest ranking members of the Polish Government are former and/or present agents serving the Soviet and/or Russian intelligence services.

For example:

The Pyramid, WSI, and Mr. President

Poles know precious little about their President. It’s high time to fill in the blanks in his biography.

Yes, you are saying that the official govt of Poland’s investigation was wrong or a cover up and some Polish MPs disagree with it. But there is no reason for the Polish govt to be incompetent in their investigation nor covering up for Russia.

“But there is no reason for the Polish govt to be incompetent in their investigation nor covering up for Russia.”

You would say that if you are sowing disinformation on behalf of Putin, the former KGB officers and agents, Russia, and the clandestine Polish agents working for Putin and Russia. Anyone else looking at the forensic evidence and the history of the former Soviet agents in the past and present Polish governments find plentiful reason why the official investigative report/s are fraudulent.
