Washington (CNN)—Donald Trump came under fire Thursday night for his handling of a question at a town hall about when the U.S. can "get rid" of Muslims, for failing to take issue with that premise and an assertion that President Barack Obama is Muslim.
"We have a problem in this country. It's called Muslims," an unidentified man who spoke at a question-and-answer town hall event in Rochester, New Hampshire asked the mogul. "You know our current president is one. You know he's not even an American."
A seemingly bewildered Trump interrupted the man, chuckling, "We need this question. This is the first question."
"Anyway, we have training camps growing where they want to kill us," the man, wearing a "Trump" T-shirt, continued. "That's my question: When can we get rid of them?"

The media acts like it’s the worse thing in the world to be called a Muslim. What happen to their mantra that Islam is a religion of peace?
I watched a part of this rally last night and couldn’t even hear the questions! Only The Donald’s responses.

Not really. It's a media narrative believed only by the media. Bowing to it is nothing but the candidates bending the knee to media's power to create the narrative.
Trump has already demonstrated he's better at manipulating media than media is at manipulating him.
Not that Trump handled it particularly well, but that “question” had set-up written all over it.

well yes, that’s the refreshing honesty of most conservative stump speeches...the crowds are not screened...it’s more honest.
Still not DT’s responsibility to correct a questioner. For all I know, DT was focused on the training camp angle and didn’t even register the other remark. These folks are tired and running on caffeine...I’m not a Trumpster, but this attack is baseless.

Who’s to say Obama is not a Muslim. Let’s face it there are many questions surrounding his so-called place of birth, his phony SS#, obtaining aid as a foreign student, his going to a school in Indonesia, his celebrating Ramadan with enemies of America, and on and on. If it walks like a duck, talks like a duck, it’s a f’n duck. Obama is the only POTUS in American history who was never vetted by the media.

Here is the OTHER HEADLINE, the one they really hoped they could have written, had Trump done what the media is now demanding should have been said:

And with that headline, we Trump supporter say...jeeze, another McCain - attacking people that are attending his own rallies. We thought he was one of us.
The PURE GENIUS in his response is the only thing the media has to run on is what TRUMP DID NOT SAY, rather than what he said. People are, at worst, going to yawn about this...and Trump supporters just got ANOTHER REASON to keep supporting him.

I agree. Trump allowed the man to ask his question. The media rallied around Obama and no one in the media said anything about the training camps. But this will be the first time lots of people will have heard about the camps.
This ambush is going to bounce him another 5 pts in the polls and the establishmedia knows it. Prove he is not mooselimb or he was born here. Let’s see his transcripts.
