WASHINGTON (AP) -- The Internal Revenue Service revoked the nonprofit status of the veterans benefit organization that hosted and sold tickets to a foreign policy speech by Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump aboard a retired U.S. battleship

Yes....something is definitely fishy about this.
Not petty at all by his standards.
Uniparty hates Trump and Veterans. Vets are just pawns in their war-games and ritual human sacrifice to the NWO.
Next to the race card, the IRS is the DNC’s best weapon against the American people.
You are all missing the point here - they lost their nonprofit status on August 10th - well over a month ago. I’m assuming Trump wasn’t aware of it - or wouldn’t have agreed to do this, not that he doesn’t care about veterans, because he does - but, the guy who hosted this seems to be running afoul of the law on this - charging for the event and saying the profits were going to the veterans. They very well might be - but how much went into his pocket? As I said - something sounds fishy here.
More Barrycades against the vets!
I’m too tired, right now, to fully decipher what is in this article. I’ll check back later and see if astute FReepers can tell if this is truly something, or a nothing burger.
If it’s another attempt/overreach by 0bola’s army, against our vets, then all you know what needs to be unleashed.
It has nothing to do with obama - the guy didn’t file his financials with the IRS for 3 years - so he lost his nonprofit status. As much as we despise obama and the IRS - this one is on the guy who hosted this event - from what I can read in the article.
It does say the issued a decision, but I suspect they are only now enforcing it. Hence the news report dated today.
While that is true - and I suspect it’s a dig at Trump - but the guy hosting the event knew darned well his status had been revoked - Trump did not. What I’m saying is had he not hosted this event - the IRS wouldn’t have enforced the ruling - sure it stinks, but, it was a bogus event - charging those who came to hear Trump. No wonder the music was so crappy -
Thanks for the info.
Like I said, I’m too tired to dive into it. I hope it’s a big nothing burger :)
Ping, please, if you happen upon any additional info.
Thanks!!!
RE: “In less then 2 days after the speech. Amazing how fast the IRS can move when they want to. Now about those Tea Party Applications?”
That exact thought occurred to me as well.
Obola has Chicagofied this country.
Eff’ing Marxist Muslim curse on the nation.
Valid points. I did jump over the date of the initial decision in my initial reading of the article. But in my defense, the narrative fits my expectations.
From the article, it says they raised something like $11,000. None of this went to Trump, and legally the chairman didn’t have a nonprofit status to host the event in the first place. This isn’t on Trump - it’s on the shady character who organized this - the IRS is trying to say that there was campaign finance laws broken - which isn’t true - there wasn’t a donation to Donald - it was supposed to go to the veteran’s charity - but, we don’t have any way of knowing that because the guy won’t release his records and hasn’t done so for 3 years - which is against the law. I thought he acted a little sleazy when I watched him - something just wasn’t right - and now I know what it was. It was like he had a sneaky look in his eyes or something - he said he is appealing the decision.
I agree with that and I also think it’s time that Trump hired some professionals in his campaign to help him with a few things - like ads, debate preparation, political advice - etc. He’s doing find shooting from the hip right now, but,I think it’s time he gets into the meat of policy - not that he has to divulge it to everyone, but to be better prepared when he speaks and at debates.
I never intended to imply this is on Trump. Quite the opposite, I chocked this up to the pettiness of obumber. However as was pointer out earlier, the initial decision was made back in August.
True, and when did Al Sharpton write that check to the IRS for back taxes owed? I somehow missed that.
It’s good to be a member of the protected political class.
That’s the way to keep those pesky Veterans/Conservative in-line!
