Owner Of LaFerrari Caught Terrifying Beverly Hills Neighborhood Claims “Diplomatic Immunity”

A YouTube video that went viral — showing a Ferrari LaFerrari and Porsche 911 GT3 tearing through residential streets of Beverly Hills; flying though stop signs while pedestrians waited to cross, narrowly avoiding other motorists — has caused outrage, with neighbors pleading with police to take action before someone gets hurt.

According to NBC4, the owner of said vehicles is claiming “diplomatic immunity,” telling a video journalist who asked for comment, “I could have you killed and get away with it.”

The name of the car’s owner has not been released, but he is rumored to be part of the Qatari royal family, and indeed the yellow LaFerrari — that boasts 950 hybrid horsepower and a price tag of $1.5 million — is registered to Qatar.

In the video the cars are seen screaming through residential streets, an area neighbors claim children play, before returning to the $10 million rented house in which the owner resides with smoke billowing from under the Ferrari’s hood. Video journalist Jacob Rogers told NBC4 he confronted the LaFerrari owner, and having been told he could effectively get away with murder due to his diplomatic status, he finished the brief interaction, according to Rogers, by saying, “’(Expletive) America’ and threw a cigarette at me.“

Drop a furring strip with 3 inch spikes in front of his tires and he’ll get the message.

Qatar has a consulate at 9355 Wilshire Blvd.

The Consul is named Faisal Bin Abdulla Al-Hensab according to a web search.

In this neck of the woods they may not have ready access to cinderblocks?

Now where I reside it is in fact the better part of the town.
This is easily verified because most of my neighbors, have not just one, but TWO cars out front on blocks!

I saw the video and I can't sugar coat it, what a douche bag. I had friends with 500 hp muscle cars with non upgraded suspensions, but the never drove like this in crowded neighborhoods with kids or stop signs. US Routes, or empty roads etc is where they would open it up. We need to pray for the neighbors and their kids, no intersection is safe...

Found a different site that says the CG in LA is named Al Thani.

So many of these web pages are undated so you do not know the info age.

Diplomatic Immunity is meaningless if an ordinary citizen decides to put several rounds through this jackass. Which you have to admit would be a hilarious outcome.

Of course, Obama would grovel and apologize before the Saudis, but he would anyway.

The State Department would tell us that unilateral waiver of immunity isn’t workable because then other countries would do the same thing to our people in those countries, even when they are the victims of trumped-up charges.

Yes, that was my point (that waiver of immunity is rare), but I mis-remembered the outcome of the case. So, thanks for correcting me. Interestingly, the guy who was successfully prosecuted in the DC case was sent back to his home country after serving only three years of a 7 to 21 year sentence, in an exchange. There was another case in Florida involving a Belgian guy who was killing gays whom he had picked up in bars. The Belgian government agreed to waive immunity only after the prosecutor in Florida promised not to seek the death penalty.

How about a homemade spike strip tied to a string? Be on the lookout for this creep and throw it into the road when you know he is coming. Watch out for security cameras in the vicinity, though.

He will enjoy replacing all his tires.

He’s not the victim of any charges.... this would be preemptive, because he has already openly talked about abusing his immunity to commit crimes. It’s been done in the past, and I’m sure it will be done again.

He can be arrested and the car impounded while they investigate.

There’s no point to arresting him, he can’t be prosecuted. Just revoke his visa and he’ll leave on his own.
