There is some speculation that Manson personally participated in the murder, or at least the torture, of Shorty Shea. But he was not even present at the Tate or La Bianca murders.
The rumors of his death would unfortunately just seem to be wishful thinking.

Hitler never personally killed anyone either, that's not the point. The puppetmaster is as guilty as the puppet, it's a long-standing legal point.
