WHILE THE ESTABLISHMENT DEMANDS PURITY, TRUMP EXPANDS THE GOP BASE
Breitbart ^ | September 15, 2015 | JOHN NOLTE

Posted on 09/15/2015 8:52:50 AM PDT by Hojczyk

It is painfully obvious that Trump is already laying the policy groundwork for a general election campaign. He’s not looking past the nomination, but he is also not boxing himself in with policy proposals he won’t be able to wriggle out of should he win the nomination.

Basically, he’s telling Republican voters the unvarnished truth about where he disagrees with us on a number of bedrock conservative issues, and he’s gambling that enough will stick him because they trust him more than the 15 others on existential issues such as immigration, border enforcement, lowering middle class taxes, simplifying the tax code, killing terrorists, and giving as good as he gets from the corrupt media.

He is also counting on the fact that The Base hates #GOPSmartSet enough that we are willing to go with a more moderate candidate if it means bringing down the corrupt, feckless, insulting, useless GOP Establishment.

If he can do this, if Trump can win the nomination by being less than pure on a few key conservative issues, he will enter the general election in a position to expand the Republican base by attracting millions of voters across the Midwest and Rustbelt who for the last 25 years have been ignored and discarded by both Republicans and Democrats.

I’m talking about the working class in Illinois, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Michigan — huge swaths of voters brutalized for generations by stagnant wages and factory closing; men who have lost good paying jobs to illegal immigrants exploited by members-in-good-standing within the predatory Chamber of Commerce.

These are Democrats — Reagan Democrats. This is where Trump believes he can expand our base. Note that many of those states are vital swing states,

“We need JOBS.

NOBODY can win without a thriving economy. NOBODY.

THAT is the bottom line.”

We do need jobs but we have to destroy multiculturalism as well.
Multiculturalism has replaced assimilation.

I thought it was us Right-Winger that insisted too much on “purity?”

if Trump can win the nomination by being less than pure on a few key conservative issues,

Those conservative issues are States issues and should be resolved by those states not the federal government. However, Trump as well as Carson, Fiorina must protect our Constitution, Senator Cruz already does that however, EVERYONE should chastise the SCOTUS for making up a fairy-tale for Same-Sex marriage from the United States Constitution even the gay couples that have benefited from said myth should see the folly of allowing that.

Illinois will not be in the republican column, no matter what. Trump might attract a few rat voters but not enough to neuter Chicago’s rats.

Trump is above all a pragmatist and a good dealmaker - someone who will get more than half a loaf for his side.

Unlike the current occupant he also seem to have basic traditional American values, so I feel somewhat confident that he would steer this ship back toward the right direction.

Trump is not perfect. But he is a real American and his current plan on economy, immigration, trade agreements, rebuild military, kill obamacare, destroy the terrorists, are just but a few that makes it worthwhile to go for him. If you add his iron hand method these things will happen faster than any other candidate. We lost to a King that had an iron hand and we need this iron hand fast worker to reverse. Some of the changes back will take years so as not to totally throw America into riots.

And yet, what exactly is “purity” to the GOPe? Complete capitulation to the Dems? Absolute adherence to the claim that they can’t have any influence in Washington unless they are given the House, Senate and presidency—and then spending like drunken soldiers in the rare situation, such as with W, when that trifecta is achieved?

Republicans are owned by the multi-national corporations. They don't want Trump to change that.

If you don't like multi-national corporations, the libertarians laugh and call you big government lovers etc.

You know, we forget that it was the judges who forced the big box stores on us by changing our zoning laws - most communities wanted to keep the small business owners because we believed in free enterprise and local control.

Well, I want main street free enterprise back and I also want traditional moral values.

If I can't have that, then it is up to me to fight harder and overturn those currently in power who are selling us out to some new world order composed of multi-national corporations.

Trump is just one battle.

Yeah, the media establishment can’t believe there is a candidate that won’t bow to their politically correct views or their strident rebukes! Go Donald!

The original author of the piece, John Nolte, must be awakening to his feeling inferior, when so many Americans, that have watched so much for so long, see someone that is rabidly FOR America, not reaching into their purses, and does not care what Washington thinks.

“Republican voters the unvarnished truth about where he disagrees with us on a number of bedrock conservative issues...”

The writer doesn’t exactly name them

Right now we love his style but will we love his policies? We will know when we hear all of them. So far all we have heard is a broad tax policy outline. He has tapped into our anger but will our votes follow? Stay tuned.

I’m not worried about Trump winning a general election. I think it will be a landslide. He has to get past the real enemy first; his own party.
