Ignoring criticism from Donald Trump about speaking Spanish on the campaign trail, Jeb Bush uses his second language in a new video celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month.
The one-minute video, "Todos Somos Americanos" or "We are all Americans," also features a rare appearance from his wife of 41 years, Columba, who's from Mexico.
"I have lived over half my life here," she says in English in the video. "We all have the same interests, the same feelings."
The Republican presidential candidate says in Spanish that he is "proud" that his children and grandchildren are Hispanic. "Hispanics contribute more every day to our culture; they are an integral part of the American dream," Bush says.

I’m glad the Jeb is speaking Spanish.
He has not yet figured out that this is America, and we speak English.
His Spanish is not helping him atall, and I would like to encourage him to continue to speak Spanish!

If Jeb and many other politicians could or would differentiate between legal and illegal then his praises for Hispanics would make more sense. The problem is in trying to defend illegal immigration those who support it have done their best to blur the line between legal and illegal. He will have to live with the backlash when voters see his support of any Hispanics as supporting illegals; he needs to own this.

Constrasting Mr. Bush’s celebration in Spanish, Mr. Trump spoke extemporaneously for an hour and a half in front of 20,000 people while being broadcast live on 3 networks. In English, at that!
Still, it’s a darn good thing Mr. Bush is so good at pandering to Hispanics, otherwise instead of polling 7% he’d be polling 5%.
It’s an odd campaign strategy. Apart from illegal aliens, to whom is he selling?

It’s late, I had to read that twice to “catch it”. Gee... With family support like that, Jeb should just pack up and go home...
Well just to be clear the second half of that “quote” is my invention, to mock the fact that she and Jeb choose to speak Spanish rather than English in their home.
