Pope Blames Refugee Crisis on 'God of Money,' 'Socio-Economic System That Is Bad, Unjust'

In an interview with Portugal-based Radio Renascença aired yesterday, Pope Francis declared that the current refugee crisis in Europe is being caused by a “bad, unjust” socio-economic system that worships “the god of money.”

In the interview, where questions were posed in Portuguese and the responses were given by Pope Francis in Spanish, the pontiff said coveting money will bring about both human and ecological ruin:

This is the tip of the iceberg. We see these refugees, these poor people who are escaping from war, escaping from hunger, but that’s the tip of the iceberg. But underlying that is the cause, and the cause is a socio-economic system that is bad, unjust, because within an economic system, within everything, within the world, speaking of the ecological problem, within the socio-economic society, in politics, the person always has to be the center. And today’s dominant economic system has removed the person from the center, and at the center is the god of money. It’s the fashionable god today. I mean, there are statistics. I don’t remember very well, but — this is not exact and I could be making a mistake— 17% of the population has 80% of the wealth.”

Pope Francis said that refugees from rural areas are being “deforested” and driven into big cities:

“Why are ‘favelas’ (shantytowns) formed in big cities?” It’s the people who come from the country because they have been deforested. They have made a mono-cultivation. They have no work, and they go to big cities.”

Ultimately, the world “is at war against itself, the Pope declared:

“Today, the world is at war, is at war against itself. That is, the world is at war -- as I say -- a war in parts, piecemeal. But it is also at war against the earth, because it’s destroying the earth, that is, our common home. The environment, the glaciers are melting. In the Arctic, the polar bear goes increasingly northward to survive."

hat perverts occur in the priesthood

My point wasn't about the perverts but the ease of the payoff. Frankly, I'm sure the church paid off on some claims that were bogus.

The papacy is just being hypocritical when they make these statements.

The Pope is a Chavista, if you can’t see it, you are blind.

> Marxist popes just don’t cut it. The whole world is coming apart so he runs over and joins the dark side.

That should be sufficient enough to tell you he may not just be the Pope.

The Church’s “wealth” isn’t really very spendable because it is in assets like churches and hospitals, and a lot of the art they don’t actually own. The church has more hospital beds than any other organization on Earth.

Marxists are hypocritical and use projection. It’s in their DNA.

Is the Pope Catholic? I doubt it.

I suspect the College of Cardinals failed to respond to the Holy Spirit and were using under the influence of other spirits who convinced them to elect a Dope rather than a Pope.

Communist parishioners only tithe what the atheist government gives them to tithe.

Is the Pope Catholic?

I can't answer that. But he does not have the spiritual preparation for the job he was chosen to do. To do this job you would want a man who knows God and walks with him. He seems to know a little bit about him, but his theology is a confused mishmash of Marx dressed up with scripture. His batting average is a bit lower than random.

When Benedict resigned and I saw all the “media” attention the selection process was getting, I got a bad feeling. Now I know I was right. This guy was selected by the liberal “media” and for a reason. Nothing to do with the Catholic Church.

It hasn’t stopped the church from collecting, for nearly two millennia, priceless art, statuary and billions and billions of dollars for its organization, a private army and jet, so the Pope can run around spewing Marxist crap

Then why are these people fleeing to the western countries that supposedly are the cause of the problem?

[”its quite possible that El Frankie is that WOLF in Sheeps clothing “ that we have all been waiting for”...”]

Hmmm.... Something going on here. Christianity is the very last thing on his addled mind. Did the Cardinals who elected him know this about him? Or is he such a disguised wolf, he hid it from them?

I understand this guy comes from a corrupt version of capitalist. I will give him some benefit of the doubt because he seems like a nice guy.

But do we have to wait until someone yells Allah Akbar and blows himself up at the Vatican for him to get what is going on.

If he is part of the Illuminati, they must make fun of him when he leaves to go get his shine box.

I dont know where he “stood” before his selection. Discerning what may have been his former positions might be a good project.

Are the Cardinals not in on the game perhaps?

He Strikes me as the Obama of “Christianity”

al least he’s not an active Mooselim..that we know of....
