They hoped to get rich off real estate, and who would be a better mentor than one of the richest men in the world? So they enrolled in Donald Trumps university to learn the tricks of the trade, some of them maxing out their credit cards to pay tens of thousands of dollars for insider knowledge they believed could make them wealthy.
With Trump rising in the polls as the front-runner for the GOP presidential nomination, his brief foray into education is an episode and a business failure that remains far more obscure than other chapters of the celebrity billionaires career.
Never licensed as a school, Trump University was in reality a series of real estate workshops in hotel ballrooms around the country, not unlike many other for-profit self-help or motivational seminars. Though short-lived, it remains a thorn in Trumps side nearly five years after its operations ceased: In three pending lawsuits, including one in which the New York attorney general is seeking $40 million in restitution, former students allege that the enterprise bilked them out of their money with misleading advertisements.
Instead of a fast route to easy money, these Trump University students say they found generic seminars led by salesmen who pressured them to invest more cash in additional courses. The students say they didnt learn Trumps secrets and never received the one-on-one guidance they expected.
Its a chapter of Trumps past that shows how he sometimes defies the usual laws of campaign physics. Such allegations of multimillion-dollar fraud might sink other candidates, but in Trumps case, even some of the students who felt duped said they havent given up on him: They like Trump. They admire him. They might even vote for him.

sounds like a small epidemic of cultic adoration
When are people going to realize these pieces are of no value?
So, we should only be posting pieces that praise Trump and never any piece that show him in a bad light?
Is that a FR rule now?
Maybe, but look at the source: the WA Compost. So what was your intent in posting it is a better question.
You can post whatever you want. Just know that you stand in league with your buddies at the GOPe with your efforts.

1) So that supporters can refute the article if they can
2) So that readers can get to know the background of the leading candidate better.
Isn’t that the purpose of an election?
the light must be true, not false or internet delusion or dogma
RE: Just know that you stand in league with your buddies at the GOPe with your efforts.
Why does posting an article not flattering of Trump automatically make one buddies with the GOPe?
Please explain...
The incessant barrage of hit pieces on Trump have become laughably counterproductive.
So basically, you think it should be like Obama all over again, and nothing critical should ever be allowed about him?
The GOPe is opposed to Trump as are you. Both will attempt to discredit and disparage the candidate. Ergo, you have common interests and are in league with Jeb and the gang.
No matter what you try to do, there will always be critics. I know quite a few people (some of them here) who make really good money in ACN, the network marketing company he’s affiliated with.
But Trump supporters use pieces from The Post, MSNBC, and other left wing sources to support Trump. Also the polling sources of the left. It’s a cstch-22.
Basically all the rules that protect a Democrat politician, also protect Trump. Why is that?
Anyone and everyone with any sense is opposed to Trump as a candidate.
Yes he says things we love to hear, but he is completely disingenuous in those comments, most of which he has since modified numerous times.
Spiffy the Clown.
.
This has been out there for six weeks to two months.
It’s street value is zero, so I say go for it.
Those that support Trump will only support him more.
Sooner or later many of the rest will.
“When are people going to realize these pieces are of no value? “
Only to the Trump Kool Aid drinkers.
