Those who were old enough to remember Sept. 11 vow to never forget what happened that day. But the next generation, it seems, already has-- or never knew to begin with.
When asked by the Young Americas Foundation what caused 9/11, many students at George Mason University in northern Virginia had no clue, gave vague responses, or were just flat out wrong.

W says it’s because they ‘hate our freedoms’.
Then proceeded to take them away from us, one by one...
The parents are ultimately to blame. They’re the ones who bought into the BS about not wanting to upset children with hard facts.
The colleges have simply exploited the vacuum created by the parents.
Later
Uh, rainbows, unicorns, cotton candy clouds.........
The NEA never taught a child patriotism .... not since the '60's or '70's .... so THEY grew up and had babies and THOSE babies are the subject of this article
America may as well have been a name on a piece of paper allowed by the Malta Conference in 1945 ... Us and Israel ... both allowed to "become" ... and we, of course have been bullies and baby killers ever since.
My parents certainly didn’t protect me from some pretty brutal images coming out of Vietnam on the news every night.
What is the "right answer" to "What caused 9/11?"?
You forgot the Crusades and how the ruthless and blood-thirsty Crusaders wiped out everybody in the area ... right? Islam is an imperialistic conquest religion until it gets stopped and then it is a victimhood mentality until the next time!
My favorite response was: “Because Bush did something bad.”
The research I did after 9/11 has led me to believe that 85 PERCENT OF MUSLIMS in the middle east WERE JOYOUS at the carnage of 9/11. I recall there was dancing in the street, people handing out sweets, and widespread celebration. An eyewitness in an Egyptian hospital said the hospital staff was happy about the attacks.
I have never seen anything that would contradict this view of the aftermath.
Why isn’t this being taught? PC makes us stupid as a people.

islamism.
Actually thats true. But it is even easier still.
“1936 Communist Goals”
and...
“We won’t get you, but we will get your children” - Nikita Khrushchev
It was part of the ongoing Islamic global jihad. They just upped the ante by attacking the "Great Satan" directly.
“Islamism” is a neologism to get around saying “Islam.”
Is “Islam” the correct answer?
Regardless of the underlying impetus for the anti-US sentiment of the madmen that perpetrated the disaster, the one clear undeniable fact is that the HUSBAND of the current female Democrat candidate for President had the opportunity to take possession of Osama Bin Laden at the offering of (Oman, Quattar, whichever) to turn him over for terrorism against the US LONG BEFORE September 11, 2001.
THAT is what is the critical point here. THAT is what is important to know.
Yeah, you’ve certainly got a point there. And the parents shoulder some of the blame as well.
Didn’t Reagan try to gut or get rid of the Dept of Education? Tip O’neil and/or Jim Wright probably scrood him on that too (on top of the amnesty deal that RR made in good faith).
According the the book "The Looming Towers" by Lawrence Wright, American Soldiers deployed in Muslim Holy lands was a major reason OBL attacked us among others issues, to force us to remove them.
Not in his wildest dreams did he think they would fall...
If you asked them about who the Secretary of State was for the 2009-2013 period....they’d probably just stand there and gaze you with a puzzled look.
