Speaking to Congress Wednesday, a woman born alive during an abortion reminded lawmakers that abortion actually does kill human life, because she would not be alive today had things gone as planned in 1977.
38-year-old Gianna Jessen entered the world under horrifying circumstances when she miraculously survived a saline abortion – the kind where the baby burns alive from a caustic chemical before being suffocated to death – when her mother was seven months pregnant.
"Instead of dying, after 18 hours of being burned in my mother’s womb, I was delivered alive in an abortion clinic in Los Angeles on April the 6th, 1977," Jessen told Congress. "Thankfully, the abortionist was not at work yet. Had he been there, he would have ended my life with strangulation, suffocation, or leaving me there to die. Instead, a nurse called an ambulance, and I was rushed to a hospital."
After being born alive during the procedure, Jessen had cerebral palsy due to lack of oxygen to her brain. She has since dedicated her life to saving as many lives as possible.
"Within the first year after my birth, I was used as an expert witness in a case where an abortionist had been caught strangling a child to death after being born alive," she continued.

How can we thrive as a nation for long with these barbaric laws on the books.
My fiance’s friend had a child out of wedlock 8 years ago and I predicted she would be a welfare queen sooner or later, and now she is.
Sometimes I feel ashamed at being bitter having to pay for all of the out of wedlock childrens’ housing, food, etc.
Though my anger is geared towards the parent and not the child.
And the government that promotes single parenthood as a great thing.
And yet these callous animals still vote to fund abortion. Hell awaits their arrival.
You have a right to be angry at how Americans have embraced the devil and thus, evil; and yet God wants even this to be tempered with a heart. Because now, often many of these people are no longer in a position to help themselves.
Nothing ever said governments needed to be agents of charity, in fact to do this is almost always counterproductive because of the political and other implications. This was what churches used to star at.
Hell has moved in with them now. If they refuse to the end to repent, their arrival merely consummates the status they have embraced.
Years ago I had an employee do that. She had the saline solution put in and then came to work like nothing, telling me that the next day it would be over. What really bothered me was that she already had children and was married but all of a sudden decided they couldn’t afford another one. I think it hurt me more than her and I didn’t understand it.

In the name of Your only Son, Jesus Christ, Who won the victory, lift the veil of deception from the eyes of our pro-choice Congressmen, Congresswomen, and President Obama. Abortion is the taking of human life.
Let each of them see by their YES votes to fund Planned Parenthood, they are responsible for murdering countless numbers of innocent babies - babies whom You had named before they were born. You had plans for each of them - plans for good and not for evil to give them a future and a hope. But those who were blinded by the evil one cause them to be snuffed them out.
Forgive us, FATHER GOD, for our complacency. Help us to stand for the life of the unborn. Do not let us have to choose between ‘the lesser of two evils’ when voting for our legislators in 2016. Shine Your favor upon those who wll stand for righteousness.

My mother was on welfare in the 30s. She said the welfare workers would come in, count the forks and knives and once said there was too much cereal in the pantry.
Dont know if it was true or not, but she has never given me any reason to disbelieve her.
I know sometimes memory changes with the years.
I first saw a 14 year old Gianna Jessen speak at a Human Life International conference in Houston, in 1991.
She was an amazing young lady, full of courage and conviction.

Kind of officious, and missing the point, on the part of the government. Whether they were strict or loose, the effect is that of bureaucratic nannies, not lovers of God.
It’s like, what malevolent power sucked her into this.

Sad story. Father was brutal mafiosa. Beat the wife and 9 kids mercilessly, had affairs, etc.
She finally left him after one particularly brutal strangulation attempt and when the boys were big enough to fight back.
Had an effect on all of the kids, except the youngest, who had little interaction with him.
Affected my mother but pop was great and helped her alot.
Later on my uncle, who still loved his dad, handed him some religious material. He ripped it up, threw it on the floor and cursed being bothered with such nonsense.
A heart rending situation. Never knew God — your grandfather even on earth may have been tormented even worse inside than he tormented others. Your uncle did the right thing, whether or not it was rejected.
