Influential radio show host Steve Deace says he will quit his job if Donald Trump carries the evangelical vote in the Iowa Caucus.
"If Donald Trump gets 32% of the evangelical vote in Iowa on Feb. 1 I will quit my job," Deace tweeted on Thursday, responding to someone who referenced a poll. "Not happening."
Deace, a prominent Iowan conservative, has previously endorsed Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) in the GOP primary.
In my view, hes what weve been waiting for, Deace said. Hes an end to the false choice between principles and electability.
A Monmouth University poll released Aug. 31 found that retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson holds the edge in the Hawkeye State among evangelicals with 29 percent support, compared to Trumps 23 percent support.
The same survey has Carson and Trump tied for the overall lead in the state at 23 percent support each, followed by former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina in third with 10 percent support, Cruz with 9 percent support and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker with 7 percent support.
Bye.
That's no longer the lib thing.....big boom in expatriation among conservatives since Obama.....
“He almost single handily derailed Romneys 2008 IA campaign.
He is feeling his oats. That is what he is trying with Trump here.
Steve Who???
Wonder where they went? If it is Europe, they should have some true regrets in light of the new invasion forces.
Not sure if this is alarming or comical yet. Still working on Jindall’s attack, analyzing that.

Cruz is great but has his dents in the armour too. Why did he vote for the Corker bill? That’s a head scratcher.
I hate people like this—Trump’s going to win. You will see his smiling face on the covers of Magazines, looking down on you in the post office, and hear his speach almost every day. Conservatives had to put up with Obama Hero Worship when he was elected—You will have to learn to live with Trump! You just might discover he might be able to get things done.
well...
bye.
Evidently, I guess he's cool with the country being over run by illegals.
Will Glenn Beck make promise the same. ..let’s hope.
Sounds like he is trying to manipulate/coerse his audience. Not a very Christian tactic.
Say what you want about Deace. He is correct though. Trump will not get 32% of the evangelical vote in Iowa. Not even close.
Never heard of him.
He WAS influential for a short time in Iowa, from his gift drive time show on ‘blowtorch’ WHO radio in the absence of Terry Branstad.
Branstad is back, and Deace is now carried only on one small town Iowa radio station of which I am aware. He’s basically a blogger.
GOOD. One less thing to worry about. I suspect he and Cruz don’t talk much.
Quit today. Who cares?
Ok
