Religious groups in the United States have urged the White House to step up its response to the Syrian refugee crisis, with one on Tuesday calling Washington's efforts so far "disappointing."Church World Service, a global humanitarian organization that represents 37 Christian denominations, has called on the government to take in 100,000 Syrians over the next year, said Jen Smyers, who works on the group's immigration and refugee program.The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, the Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service, and the Jewish refugee assistance agency HIAS along with secular groups have also backed that figure.

Tell me why the Syrian Moslems would flee to one or another Christian nation, and not to another Moslem nation where they speak the same language, have the same religion and the same (or very similar) customs? Sounds AT LEAST a little fishy to me.

This is an invasion, not a horde of refugees - and while it is undoubtedly true that there are many legit refugees leaving Syria, the fact that 2/3 - 3/4 of the “refugees” are young Moslem males makes me doubt anything other than an invasion. Now Lewiston is paying the price in more ways than one, including a crime rate never seen there until the “refugees” descended en masse.
Simply, no. There is blight all over the world (this one caused directly by Obama). We cannot bring all the people in blighted countries here. It is not responsible to the citizens of the US to accommodate any and all refugees.
I know this is uncomfortable to say and I understand there is a genocide happening, if we are to stop the genocide we must do it there. We are all war weary but the fact remains. If we are going to stop the genocide we have to fight to win, all out total war until capitulation or annihilation.
Agreed. I’ve been looking at the pics online, and what I’ve seen n pics of these “refugees” have been predominantly young, healthy, well-fed males. I dind it hard to believe that the leftist media deliberately framed the pictures that way in support of their leftist intention to deluge the west with these poor poor “starving refugees, women and children hit hardest”. I feel certain that if there were any number of women and children amongst the “refugees”, the media would be playing it up. And I’m reading of the “refugees” already committing violent criminal acts upon the natives of the places where they’re being fed and housed, like a virulent plague come to those areas.
Does everyone remember the promise of ISIS to inundate the west with jihadists? Why would they not mean what they said, who has stopped them from carrying out any of their stated intentions just because they made them public in advance?
What is wrong with these religious people?!

Their congregations can sponsor them and front their immigration surety bonds.
It’s cold and callous of me, but I am past the point of believing that the US needs to anymore step into the eternal fights of the ME. Let them fight it out, because it never, never ends. Those people seem to be born to kill, we would be at perpetual war if we tried to put a final end to it. Let them do what they apparently love to do, kill each other. My only concern would be with protecting Israel, per God’s promise of blessing and curse of nations which either stand with her or oppose her.
They are paid handsomely for each refugee they bring in here. Once these refugees are plopped down in a very white bread area (the usual practice) the refugee agonies are only responsible for them for three months.
Its a money grubbing hustle-scam-racket and the people at the top of these "non-profits" are paid great salaries
These days 60-70 percent of all refugees hustled in here are Muzzlims
