Here is, word for word, in context, what Donald Trump said Tuesday about admitting Muslim refugees from the Middle East:
Bill O'Reilly: You know thousands will come to the United States. Now do you object to migrants who are getting out of the Middle East and North Africa coming to the USA?
Trump: I hate the concept of it but on a humanitarian basis with what's happening you have to.
Here is, word for word in context, what Donald Trump said on Wednesday about admitting Muslim refugees from the Middle East:
Hannity: Should we allow any of them [Muslim Middle Eastern refugees] into this country?
Trump: Look, from a humanitarian standpoint I'd love to help but we have our own problems, we have so many problems we have to solve.
On Tuesday Trump said we had to admit them for humanitarian reasons, on Wednesday Trump said we didn't have to admit them for humanitarian reasons.
As I've said before, on the campaign trail it is easy to misspeak. But this is a very fundamental issue and it doesn't look like a slip of the tongue. He clearly said "you have to" in answer to a question about admitting thousands of them. If Trump were to admit large numbers of Muslims to America, we would be importing the intolerant version of Islam that is practiced in Iraq, Syria, and Afghanistan, complete with Sharia law, clitorectomies, and honor killings. And then, of course, there would be the terrorism.
I've voiced my concern about Donald Trump before because he has no history of conservatism; in fact, his history is the direct opposite.

No politician is going to say flat out. “I don’t want any Muslims coming into this country”, at least any that actually want to be elected.
He’s doing pretty good leading in the polls, while the politicians have all failed. Look at Walker, who basically doesn’t answer questions especially on immigration. He sank like a stone.
Yes so he flipped, but upon reflection he flipped to the RIGHT side.
If I ruled the world, only a few refugees would be taken in and they must be proven Christians, would have to be a family - meaning wife, husband and children and NO able-bodied lone males.
And yet he was supposed to sink with everything else he's said. Hasn't happened. Which candidate do you support by the way, as it's obviously not Trump? Every single one of them, even Cruz, favors granting legal status to illegal aliens, though some differ on granting them a "pathway to citizenship", and some are so farking vague you really don't know what their position is at all.
broadcast of MSNBCs Morning Joe.
You may wish to read your own post carefully, aloud. He did not flip-flop. He “objected” to them coming on Tues. and continued to object on Wed. Reading is your friend, my FRiend.
Reading the original context, it is more than likely that the anti-Trump bots were reading into something that was quite vague, since in that same statement Trump raised the specter of ISIS terrorists posing as refugees, said that Germany was dealing with it, said Europe was no longer looking like Europe anymore (ergo: letting millions of refugees is bad) and said "we have our own problems."
It seems more likely that Trump was thinking about it in real time and by the end of it concluded it really wasn't our problem.
RE: broadcast of MSNBCs Morning Joe.
So, he made three different statements — one on O’Reilly, one on Hannity and one on Morning Joe.
Which one is the latest?
I think Hannity implied Muslims, but didn’t ask specifically.
No matter how much the GOP establishment tries to trash Trump, even with all the many warts and missteps, he is still better then the best GOP establishment candidate.
Sorry, but I do not these two statements inconsistent in the least. In the first one nowhere did he say NO to accepting any of them. Saying we have our own problems is not the same as saying no to refugees.
These people are not refugees. 75% of them are men, most of whom are young, military-aged with neatly trimmed beards wearing designer jeans and carrying iPhones. They're traveling single. If they have families, they left them at home.
They're an invading army and the do-gooders are to blind to see this.
Trump flip flopping on an issue? I shocked I tell ya!!!!!! /s
Nobody except possibly Marxist Liberals want to see people die needlessly.
RE: You may wish to read your own post carefully, aloud. He did not flip-flop. He objected to them coming on Tues
On Tuesday ( Sep. 8 ) He said I “Hate the concept of it” and then added a BUT, and followed up with “but on a humanitarian basis with what’s happening, you have to.”
That was in response to O’Reilly asking him: “Do you object to migrants coming in from the Middle east and North Africa coming into the US?”
So, what did I miss on Tuesday?
Well that pretty much eliminates everybody, because how does one "prove" themselves to be a Christian? Maybe they could force them to eat a ham sandwich, I suppose.
On a humanitarian level you have to object...
Hannity gave him time to respond - BOR interrupted and argued with him - that is why there seems to be 2 different versions.
If you were watching the news, even FOX, you would be left to believe all these poor migrants were poor, put upon people, all nice little families with lots of little kids.
Once you find out 75% are military aged males, you change your mind quickly. The media will not tell you that. You find the truth out there on the internet.
FOX has yet to show that picture of the muslim young man flouting a chop your head off symbol for a camera.
Fair and balanced? Probably not.
