A federal circuit court judge, David L. Bunning, ordered the Kentucky County Clerk, Kim Davis, to be thrown in jail for refusing to abide by the rulings of the Supreme Court to issue marriage license to gay couples. Kim Davis, a few months ago, refused to issue licenses based on her religious beliefs and filed a motion to the supreme court.
She was sued by some gay couples for this reason and this eventually led to her being thrown in jail.
The judge declined to fine Davis because he said outside sources could easily fund and pay those fines. She was handed over to custody of the U.S. Marshals.

And laws are written by the legislature, not the judicial branch of government.
Do tell. I wonder what he thinks about cops that set off grenades in toddlers' faces. Should they be subject to the "rule of law" too?
OK, “judge”, then just show us the “law”, duly considered and passed and signed by the State’s executive.
Now, judge, hold yourself to that standard, you TWIT!
Judge, can you please forward that memo on to Barry Soetoro so he can start enforcing immigration laws?
Written historical accounts of this phase of the USA will be unflattering to Federal Circuit Court Judge David L. Bunning...if they are ever published at all.
Exactly!! If you are a Judge, you are subject to the rule of law, you know, the law you make up as you go along. Please Judge, just shut up. You and your fellow dictators in black robes have permanently damaged the judiciary in this country.
I would love to have inside information on the behind-the-scene collusion that is no doubt happening here. Buttless-chaps Bunning is probably meeting with sodomite activists, and taking bribes from Tim Gill, as well as getting his marching orders from the ACLU.
And every judge is subject to the laws of the Almighty. He should be preparing his own defense for the courts of the Most High.
And Kim is a Democrat. Up is Down....RIght is Left....
Based on the Supreme Court ruling on marriage, I can see that we have a conflict here.
What I don’t understand, and may never understand, is why she is in jail.
What crime has she been convicted of? What violent felony has she been accused of, that she needs to be in jail awaiting trail?
When is her trial scheduled? Is she even going to have a trial, or just be behind bars indefinitely??
But some public officials are more subject than others.
Cities across the country are free to thumb their noses at immigration laws and become “sanctuary cities”.
However, when comes to local authorities not granting same sex marriage licenses...well...we can’t have that.
I see how that works. Only the Left has a license to practice civil disobedience.
Including you, judge.
So when is Bonehead and his whimsy GOPe gonna impeach this crazed Psycho judge? (Sarc)
RE: ‘Every Public Official Is Subject To The Rule Of Law
OK Mr. Bunning, Can you cite us any Law in Kentucky that was passed or even a law in Congress that was passed recognizing gay marriage?
Excuse me Judge,
Why aren’t the public officials that create and endorse sanctuary cities and states in jail?
Yeah, the definition of “law” is pretty clear in the Constitution -
a proposal (enforceable by the use of deadly force) passed by both houses of Congress and signed by the president.
Except for the president, secretary of state, attorney general, governor of California and the mayors of a multitude of Democratically-controlled cities, that is.
