Speaking at a Labor Day rally in Hampton, Ill., today Hillary Clinton threatened to imprison employers for “wage theft.”
“We’re going to go back to enforcing labor laws,” Clinton said. “I’m going to make sure that some employers go to jail for wage theft and all the other abuses that they engage in.”
“And we are going to make it harder and harder to stop what should be the right of every American: to join a union and bargain collectively through that union,” she continued. “But, I’ll tell you, we’ve got a fight on our hands.”
The presumed 2016 Democratic candidate also endorsed President Obama’s executive order mandating government contractors provide employees “paid leave.”
“I was very proud that President Obama said today he is going to require federal contractors to provide seven days of earned paid sick leave,” she said. “And he’s going to fight for paid family leave, something that I’ve been fighting for for 30 years and we’re going to get it done. It’s not right to treat working people as though they don’t have other responsibilities.”
Did she say that in one of her orange jumpsuits? Some prosecutors have flipped her perhaps?
Is there such a thing, or is Hillary just saying she'll jail anyone who doesn't pay whatever she deems appropriate?
So the Obama administration is not enforcing labor laws at all?
Sounds like Obama needs to squeeze her a bit tighter on this e-mail thing. Send a message, you know.

She is going to make sure employers “go to Jail”??? She must be looking for white collar company in the orange jumpsuits with whom she can trade stock tips, discuss recipes and recount past luxury foreign travels.

I’ve heard wage theft described as a situation in which employees are not paid time and a half for their overtime work, or if they are working off the clock and not getting paid at all.
What gets me about that is that these labor practices are already against the law. So what’s up with Hillary saying we’re going to “go after” this alleged problem? Is it really a huge problem? If so, it’s already against the law. If not a problem, then what’s the deal with talking about it?
Like "Micro-Aggression" it is another leftist fabrication designed to demonize or criminalize various aspects of everyday life.
