Hillary Clinton said she doesn't need to apologize for using a private email account while leading the State Department, saying "what I did was allowed."
In a Monday interview with the Associated Press, Clinton downplayed how the email controversy may have affected her campaign and reiterated that she never sent and received information marked as classified at the time. "Not much," she replied when asked how it affected her as a candidate.
"I have worked really hard this summer, sticking to my game plan about how I wanted to sort of reintroduce myself to the American people," she said.
When asked by the AP whether she would directly apologize for using a private address for official business, Clinton said what she did was allowed by the State Department and said the agency has confirmed that to be true.
Last week, the Democratic front-runner told NBC News that it wasn't the "best choice" to use a personal email address for professional and personal purposes. But she also insists it hasn't hurt her campaign for president, although polls show it's taken some toll on her favorability ratings.
"It's a distraction, certainly," Clinton told the AP. "But it hasn't in any way affected the plan for our campaign, the efforts we're making to organize here in Iowa and elsewhere in the country. And I still feel very confident about the organization and the message that my campaign is putting out."
In June, an internal government review found that Clinton sent at least four emails from her personal account containing classified information while secretary of state, and referred the matter to the FBI for investigation. Clinton has maintained that she never sent or received classified information.
The state department allows officials to have classified info on their private server?
She is constantly reintroducing herself. The left should be embarrassed. The sad thing is, they are not.
I doubt they allow classified info on a private server. If so, they should all be in jail.
Hillary is a slow moving catastrophe, just like her fellow liberal liars Rather and Williams were.

I agree, she doesn’t. However she does need to go to jail like Manning!
Who gives a damn if she apologizes? If she broke the law she needs to be arrested.
Clinton Says No Email Apology: What I did was allowed
No, it wasnt. Its illegal to conduct government business by a government employee on a non-government email account, classified or not. Period.
Believe me, Hillary. There is absolutely no reason that you have re-introduce yourself to me.
I was going to say she doesn’t need to apologize.
She does, however, need to go to jail.
But as usual, some smart guy on FR always beats me to my posts :)
Having worked with classified for 39 years, I can attest that what she did is not allowed....
I agree. Her lousy polls are because she is not likeable enough.
