Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump stated that while Theres only so much we can do. We have to fix our own country the US should help as much as possible with the European refugee crisis and possibly let some refugees into the US on Fridays broadcast of MSNBCs Morning Joe.
Trump was asked about the European refugee crisis and, Should we be letting some of those people into this country?
He answered, So horrible on a humanitarian basis when you see that. Its like incredible whats going on. But, you know, we have so many problems. And the answer is possibly yes, Cokie, possibly yes.

“How many Tea Party senators have betrayed the ones who put them in office?”
You made an excellent point. One of those candidates was Ron Johnson from WI who ran using the Tea Party’s support. He ran as a Conservative. He was a private business man that used mostly his own $$ to run. He had no voting record to back up what he said he believed. And a lot of us believed him. So many in fact that he took the Senate seat away from Russ Feingold.
He ran on repealing Obamacare. Now he doesn’t even want to talk about it and has denied being associated with the Tea Party. He wasn’t in DC 10 minutes before he was hanging around McCain and voting with the rinos.
I have heard some of the same things about Trump as I heard about Johnson. He worked his entire life in business, was successful, had his own money and said all of the right stuff. We had no way to verify that this guy really believed what he was saying or would stand up for it once he got to DC.
Trump has been questioned, requestioned, picked apart, held to things he said 20 years ago and has held pretty steady.
He has made the Christians being victims statements all along (and not to be pandering). He has attacked the Iran treaty, not even negotiating to get our hostages back.
He became pro-life about the same time many people did - when the partial birth vote came up in the Senate.
I don't think he is being soft - but he is appealing to many different groups of voters that the GOP doesn't usually get. Which means, if he can hold on and gain the nomination, the GOP has a good chance of winning, taking the downline candidates in with them. And, assuming his key talking points hold true after the election, a good chance of a congress that will actually do something.
To be honest, I'm not quite sure what a "conservative" is at this point. I understand pro-life, pro-constitution (although the SCOTUS keeps reinterpreting it) but when any candidate speaks some of what they say is not "conservative" and I don't care what candidate it is.
My point is he is willing to take the fight to ISIS. He wants to build a wall. He wants to stop illegals and limit immigration. He believes that there should not be any more anchor babies. All these things are facts and he can fight them but if he starts sounding like a conspiracy kook then it is not going to benefit us (the people that want change) at all.
Omg! That’s a laugh! Ben Carson really!
"It depends on what the meaning of "is" is."
Having read Cruz's book, I know why he isn't doing it---because it doesn't benefit him at this point to do so. He's already shot down the idea of some kind of alliance with Trump.
As much as I like Cruz, I have my own mind and I don't take my cues from politicians. Cruz is running for office and is doing what's in his best interest. I'm not and I'm free to speak my mind.
Ok, so outside of Cruz, who doesn't appear to have any issues with Trump, who is this great conservative candidate?
Concern trolls are deeply concerned.
Read it in context. Trump has learned “talking head gotcha Jiu jitsu.” He was changing the subject without arguing or actually stating his position. They wanted to nail him and he deflected in a non-confrontational way.
I do it myself to idiot people I have to put up with who just want to argue. I say, “You may be right. I don’t know. Let me think about it.” When I really want to say, “You are a moron and should kill yourself for the sake of the human race.”
What did I say he said? You must have me mixed up with someone else, I made no comment about anything he said. I asked a simple question. You didn’t answer it either.
Mark Steyn says you can walk down the street in Sweden without ever seeing a pretty blonde woman...instead every female you pass is wrapped in a hijab, or whatever they call that mess.
Exactly! The others are just all talk because we know as soon as they get to DC it’s over! It’s back to business as usual and that includes Cruz! I will not vote for any GOPe candidate except for Trump!
Yeah, but rather than explaining it to you, I'll just suggest you read your own posts.
Trump has already spoke about Christian persecution in Syria and how they are not allowed in the US.
