Billy Corgan Praises Trump
Breitbart ^ | Sept 4 | Daniel Nussbaum

Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan weighed in on the 2016 presidential race at a Q&A before a recent concert in Cincinnati, saying that while he may not necessarily agree with Republican frontrunner Donald Trump’s policy positions, it’s “cool” that he is in the race.

“I think what’s cool is Trump’s running chaos theory,” Corgan said, according to video of the Q&A session uploaded to YouTube. “He’s forcing a lot of things out into the open, so they can’t control this, whatever whatever that control is.” “It’s like the music business: everybody gets controlled, and somebody comes along that f***s it all up,” Corgan explained. “I think it’s good that he’s f***ing it up, because whether or not he’s the guy, obviously the political class doesn’t want him there. It’ll open it up to a bigger dialogue.”

I like how he slapped Courtney Love down when she was running around insisting they were having an affair.

I really despise CL.

What Corrigan is saying is that Trump is actually moving the center of gravity back a little. No republican since Reagan has done this. They all usually just start out accepting the new normal from square one.

As the 2016 campaign moves forward, look for more and more articles like this. Trump has mass appeal beyond the traditional GOP base and we could be looking at a historic landslide here and a shift to the right.

The left wing of the Democrat party is now so extreme that many middle of the road Democrats are getting disgusted. They are ripe for the picking and somebody like Trump will make it easier for them to pull that "R" lever in November. I know it will be painful for them to do, and they certainly won't do it for Ted Cruz, but they would do so for Trump.

Trump could be a transitional president so that in 2020 or 2024, Ted Cruz will be more palatable to these converts to the Republican Party - which should be completely transformed in this election cycle from the party of milquetoast tired out warhorses (like McCain, Dole, Bushes) to a party of action and American rebirth. Kind of like how Reagan was.

As for Billy Corgan, I was a big fan of Smashing Pumpkins back in the day. I was glad to read this.

Remember the concept of the land bank.

I propose a mind bank...

It still exists, but we don’t over use it.

There’s two great examples of a candidate for this program.

Homer Simpson, smiling politely.

I think you’re right on track there.

Trump raises less red flags for those who wish to move in our direction. Now, if Trump can get in and sell Conservatism in the process, it does open up a whole new world for us when Trump moves on and a guy like Ted Takes over.

That seems workable to me.

I think the phenomenon is much more about Trump being a well-known celebrity than anything else. That’s what gave him the ability to get the massive media coverage right out of the gate that he no doubt has used to his advantage.

The natural effect of this is that the Democrats will respond by recruiting a celebrity candidate like George Clooney for themselves next cycle. And as they almost did with Ashley Judd for Senate recently.

Conservatism doesn’t win with Trump. But celebrity does. And if the Democrats manage to recruit a real well-known celebrity for their side next time, no standard politician on our side will stand a chance.

That’s my take on it too. Democrats have sold out much of their base too. What was inconceivably lunatic fringe left not long ago, is now put forth as the whole-cloth consensus. Calling what queers do ‘marriage’? Illegal aliens in government? Bat guano crazy.
