Obviously she should not be in jail. This is silly.

However, if she unwilling do her job, for what ever reason, she should be re-assigned.

Being right in a wrong environment sometimes means you’re going to take a beating. I just hope Cruz doesn’t get crushed by this relatively small issue now, and lose his chance to fight the bigger fight down the road.

She cannot be removed, reassigned, replaced, fired, etc. This is an elected position, and the only way to remove her from office is by impeachment by the state legislature.

“Relatively small issue”???? How can a first amendment issue be relatively small?

She did her job. She obeyed State Law.

What makes you say she was unwilling to do her job?

It's an elected position...so there is no reassignment, and I'm certain she swore an oath to uphold the US and the KY State constitutions. Neither one has a word demanding homosexual "marriage," in fact KY's constitution has an amendment forbidding it. Yes there's a US Supreme Court opinion supporting homosexual marriage....but our clerk--and every State and Federal official does NOT swear to uphold Supreme Court opinions....only the Constitution itself. The "right" of judicial review is not actually in the Constitution anyway--as the Founders explicitly did NOT make the Supremes the final arbiter as to whether something is constitutional or not.

Man, you boot-lickers are really coming out of the woodwork.

Like magic, the supreme court can with the wave of its wand redefine an institution that has existed for all of recorded history and everyone who doesn't jump on the bandwagon is wrong?

They are delusional and obeying their mindless edicts is an act of moral cowardice.

she should be re-assigned

She was elected by the people, not appointed by the judiciary.

I tend to agree and she’s a TERRIBLE example to go to bat for.

How many times has she been married?

How many kids has she had out of wedlock?

How many times divorced?

How many DIFFERENT men has she married?

I don’t know her from Adam, but she seems to be a hypocrite to me. And from a 1,000 mile view, looks to be pissed at gays and using religion as an excuse because it’s convenient.

I hope I’m wrong and we’ll never know her true motives. BUT....it’s why it looks bad.
