I believe all U.S. attorneys are under the DOJ. But they don't have a choice. If the matter is referred to them then they have to go to a grand jury.

So when do they start jailing people who ignore federal law regarding illegal aliens?

Well, there’s the problem right there — THE REPUBLICAN CONGRESS.
They are simply posturing and by doing so, are signalling to all law breakers that they can get away because they are not serious in exercising their power.
There is more enforcement when it comes to a Clerk in Kentucky than against people who trample our rights like the IRS or the corrupt Justice Department.
We gotta get both Boehner and McConnell outta there.

The fact that she held this position before the “gay marriage” proclamation is very important, in my opinion.
She didn’t take the job expecting to “marry” two men or two women or two goats or whatever.
They need to accommodate at least the people who were hired before this.
That said, I think this was badly handled. She or her supporters (I assume she has an attorney and some organizations helping her) should have thought out a strategy.
Maybe her going to jail will get some legal minds out there to think up a strategy.
And we all know what side you stand for.

BTW, by that logic, KY has no marriage law at all.....therefor she has NO authority what so ever to issue any marriage licenses at all.
