“The current political environment” has no bearing as grounds. The Fifth Amendment is about self-incrimination, not politics.

I imagine it will be on CSPAN4, probably at 11 PM or thereabouts.

Witnesses testify. Defendants take the 5th.

Pagliano worked for the State Department AND as a private employee of Hillary Clinton.
He took our hard-earned taxpayer dollars and gives his loyalty to Hillary?
We paid him. He owes us.
If he’s going to lawyer-up, then let’s point out how so many government employees are paid with hard-earned tax dollars while they put their priority in working for the Democrat Party.

The optics of this hack pleading the 5th will be very bad for Hillary.
Very bad.

Now it appears a hacker has Hillary's email and is going to sell it. Hillary is in jail and toast.
Also it appears Obama is related to USA hacking, too much coincidence that this happened to Hillary now.

If it is politically motivated, why isn’t he testifying to that?

Once you plead the 5th, you cannot answer any questions at all, so he will do so..................

the former IT employee will assert his constitutional right under the Fifth Amendment not to answer questions from the House Select Committee on Benghazi, citing the "current political environment." The Fifth Amendment protections are against self-incrimination, not the political climate.
If he doesn't want to incriminate himself in a crime, he can plead the 5th; but he can't if it's just about limiting political exposure or concealing another person's crimes.

I predict he will speak to it being politically motivated and then be jailed for refusing to testify after relinquishing his 5th Amendment rights.
It’s a far better optic for his master.

Fishing for immunity More likely the cops will be fishing his body out of the river before that happens. There is no immunity from Arkancide.

He'll plead the Fifth, she'll drink the Fifth...
BURP!!!

The current political environment has no bearing as grounds. The Fifth Amendment is about self-incrimination, not politics. It could be that the "bearing" in this case is the guy doesn't want to end up on the klinton "Death List".

The republicans will allow him to make a 30 minute statement in which he exonerates himself and Rodham Clinton - then he’ll take the Fifth and all that will be reported is how Hillary is exonerated. It’s Lois Lerner redux
