A source with knowledge of these matters has confirmed to Breitbart News exclusively that RNC Chairman Reince Priebus will meet with Donald Trump at Trump Tower in Midtown Manhattan tomorrow afternoon to discuss the loyalty pledge.'
Politico reported earlier today that the RNC plans to ask candidates to sign a pledge that they will support whoever is nominated by the Republican Party and not oppose them in the general election. The political magazine speculated that the pledge is designed to force the front-runners [Trumps] hand:
The Republican National Committee on Wednesday privately reached out to GOP presidential candidates to ask whether theyd be willing to sign a pledge stating they would not run as an independent candidate in the event they fail to win the Republican nomination in 2016.
The move is an implicit challenge to Trump, who pointedly refused to rule out a third-party run during the first GOP debate. He was the only candidate who declined.
The language of the draft pledge speaks directly to the issue vexing Republicans the possibility that the billionaire could choose to wage a third party bid if he fails to win the GOP nomination, a prospect that could seriously damage the GOPs prospects of reclaiming the White House. Tapping into deep anti-establishment animosity among the conservative grassroots, Trump has surged to the lead of the deepest presidential field in recent memory. If Trump were to pull just a fraction of the vote as an independent, write-in or third party candidate, it could be enough to sink the eventual Republican nominee.
The source also tells Breitbart News that requesting candidates to pledge not to run as a third party has been a topic of internal debate at the Republican National Committee for several weeks.

1. A world class neurosurgeon
Or
2. A world class negotiator
I can just see Trump holding Priebus out a window by his feet
The eGOp wouldn’t need to ask for promises if they had anything people actually valued.
Rince wants to have his butt in a sling on the Trophy Wall?
...Trump will make a deal...in his favor...
The same kind of deal he will negotiate in favor of the USA as its CEO.
What would or could the GOPe possibly give him in return for signing?
BINGO!!! ALL, and I mean ALL, of them need to sign the Pledge!!!
The concern used to be to protect and defend the Constitution.
Don’t don’t do it, Donald. It’s a trap.
Rinse had better be careful. The Donald could perceive this as being unfair. You don’t want to be unfair with the Donald.
The Republican party would probably never agree to that because they are getting read to spend hundreds of million dollars on an anti-Trump ad campaign.
I guess Bret Baier wasn’t available to make the request.
Reince and Repeat should have been fired the day after the 2012 election.
Tell them they will also sign a pledge and outline what they can’t do to oppose Trump. His attorney can make an agreement so solid they can’t weasel out and if so, leaves the door open for Trump to run independent.
Is there any benefit for Trump if he signs? Will they bar him from debates?
Why do you say that? Everything went according to plan.
>> Its amazing to me Rinse is still Leader after Romney
Yes, good point. What IS up with that?
Take the pledge and break it later if needed...it is not binding. The GOP broke their pledge to fight Obamacare and amnesty...they have it coming to them.
The fact they are meeting at Trump Tower says a lot. Trump has possession He will just sit and listen this time. Maybe ask a question or two and wait
