The current generation of teen girls is considerably less sexually active than the previous two, to a lesser degree, boys are also. Everyone is happy at this trend, but no one knows what is causing it. Some think that the internet plays a role, as they increasingly communicate online rather than person-to-person.

“they increasingly communicate online rather than person-to-person.”

There is more to do when you are at home and bored between the end of school and when your parents get home.

Sex used to fun.

Liberals have taken all the fun out of it. Sex has become something you must do but the sex is grim business, lacks any romance and is often unsanitary.

It is about as pleasant as cleaning out the gutters.

Did they count the millions of anchor babies?

Yes

Does an abortion not count as a birth?

No

“Nearly 90 percent of sexually active teens surveyed said they used birth control the last time they had sex. “

More than 273,000 babies were born to mothers aged 15 to 19 in 2013

That is about 7% of the 4 million total babies born in America. That number has been pretty steady for the last several years. This is not knew information. The teen birth rate issue has been the subject of census studies and articles.

The purpose of the article was to advocate for IUD use by teenage girls, nothing more.

Not discussed but social scientists have speculated that part of the decrease can be attributed to the Pregant at 16 TV shows, etc. They graphically laid out the burden of child rearing.

The only problem is, what are they looking at on the internet? Porn addiction is a big problem among teens today, especially teenage boys.
