So the cops get a call about a suspicious person on a block but no address. The cop who shows up goes in the backyard (of the wrong house), finds the door unlocked so he just goes inside and shoots the dog and the homeowner.

Let’s call it “unfortunate.”

Sorry. The cops didn’t shoot the homeowner. They shot each other.

Violent black racists aren’t the cops’ worst enemy.

COPS are the cops’ worst enemy. They really need to clean up their act.

Home owner is going to sue, and win.

Maybe. But if he does the money will come out of the taxpayers' pockets, and the trigger happy JBTs will get off with a slap on the wrist at most. You'll note that the homeowner was shot by home invaders; the fact that they're police doesn't change the fact that going into a home WITHOUT a warrant makes them home invaders.

I notice that even though the cops shot the homeowner, it’s only one of the media’s beloved police who are deemed important enough to warrant a report on his condition

Prayers for the office and family. Obama is too busy golfing to care.

How about prayers for the innocent homeowner the cops shot in his own house?

Atlanta GA – A Dekalb county officer was left in critical condition Monday evening after being shot in the leg while responding to a burglary call.

Around 7:35 pm, officers were responding to a ‘vague’ location for a burglary in progress call, when police entered the wrong home. Shortly after gunshots erupted, the officer and the homeowner, identified as Chris McKinley by a neighbor, were both injured in the melee. McKinley’s dog was also killed during the exchange.

“A lot is yet to be determined here as to what and when shots were fired, how the officer received injuries, how the homeowner received injuries,” Director of public safety Cedric Alexander said. “But we did respond to the wrong residence tonight.”

The Officers claim they went to the back of the home and found that the rear door and screen door were unlocked. While not locking your door may be a common occurrence for many Americans, these officers apparently viewed it as a sign of an intrusion.

“That in and of itself would probably suggest to anyone that it is possible that there could be intruders inside, but it turned out not to be the case,” Alexander said.

Let’s see. Wrong house, homeowner shoots intruder.

Officer guilty of trespass, homeowner not guilty.

The original article said a cop was shot but not who shot him. The second article (post 10) originally said that a dog and a cop were shot. It’s been updated. Now the story is that one of the cops shot the homeowner, his dog and another cop.

It’s been one of those “evolving” stories.
