“Thanx for the historical perspective. I guess every government employee has the right to not have their evil employees change their duties or the nature of the service they provide. So if you work 40 years they have to wait till you retire.”

No moral relativism there, I’m sure. /s

Did you follow the link? Have you ever heard the term case law. You are woefully ignorant of the sources and types of law in the US. I don’t you won’t apologize. Aren’t you on elf those I said good-bye to. Sorry for taking up your time and wasting mine. I saw your comment and thought no one can be that ignorant of law and be a regular here. But I stand corrected. As you were.

The moral issue is, work for someone take their money follow their direction. It is immoral to do otherwise. If they require you to do something offensive, contrary to your religion illegals or whatever, leave or disobey and follow the consequences. I don’t see what the issue here is. And this is getting repetitive. Argue amogst your fellow believers.

Just say no. Refuse. Their house of cards is built upon threats to frighten into obedience.

I’d be laughing were it not so tragic.

IN the original Constitution, “supreme” is not capitalized but “Court” is.

Our Governor - Pete Ricketts, a Republican - caved and said “The Court has decided, and I’ll will obey the Law.”

I called his office and asked the staffer what law the Governor was obeying? I asked her “exactly what legislation was passed by both Houses of Congress, and signed into law by the President?”

She could not answer me, other than to say that the SCOTUS had decided the law ... I replied, “No, the SCOTUS just MADE law - big difference”

So she fell back on the same fool response of “Well, Governor Ricketts will obey the law”

So, I told her, “OK, then tell the Governor that I will not be filing a state tax return, nor will I obey any other state statute regarding anything to do with same, as I refuse as a matter of conscience, to advance the cause of evil.”

She replied “Then you will be breaking the law” ..

I finished the call by asking her to tell Governor Rickets - a supposed Catholic and a member of the Knights of Columbus - that he is a moral coward; and he is culpable in committing, and compelling others to commit, mortal sin.

So, there it is - I have neither filed a 2014 Federal, nor a 2014 Nebraska State tax return - and, under the present circumstances, I will not ever again be doing so. Let the chips fall where they may - but me and my household will stand with the Lord of Hosts.

The Supreme Court acted ILLEGALLY.

Congress has the power to remove anything from the jurisdiction of the Supreme Court.

Obviously, not this Congress.

They must still be laughing at your call. Case law IS law.

Soon you will go to prison for not filing taxes and admitting it on a public forum. I’ll contribute to your defense fund. Just keep us informed.

So the Court isn't willing to rule on its own religious exception clause in the recent gay marriage case? Why did they include it if they never meant it to be allowed?

“The courts are not the “employers” of the clerks. That would be the people who have elected them.

Why don’t we ask her employers how they feel about forcing her to issue homosexual marriage licenses? I very much doubt the “consent of the governed” is in favor of it.

Are you in favor of government by the consent of the governed?”

TOUCHE’!!! Checkmate! Game set and match!

County Clerk is elected official right? Arrest an elected official for not granting marriage licenses due to religious beliefs. She was elected under the premise that she didn’t have to violate her beliefs. And then they changed the rules.
