WASHINGTON (AP) Republican presidential candidate Scott Walker says that building a wall along the country's norther border with Canada is a legitimate issue that merits further review.
Republican candidates have generally taken a get-tough approach on deterring illegal immigration, but they usually focus on the border with Mexico.
The Wisconsin governor was asked whether he wanted to build a wall on the northern border, too, during an interview Sunday on NBC's "Meet the Press."
Walker says law enforcement officials in New Hampshire brought up the topic of building a wall along the U.S.-Canadian border during a recent town hall meeting. He says they raised some legitimate concerns, so it's a "legitimate issue for us to look at."

The first world is having a third world immigration crisis. Canada isn’t a third world country.
Scotty Birthright has sunk himself.
Yeah, I live 30 miles south of the border from BC, and all the Canadians are overly law abiding and quite nice. ( They don’t drive well, but no big deal.)
No, please don't, she got to be near cardiac arrest with all the tidbits coming out about Walker that by themselves are not a big deal but overall make him completely unsuitable and comically pathetic.
Oh I caught the irony alright.
It’s a microcosm of the problem with modern politics and it is why Trump has proven such a thriller so far. Whatever progressive baggage he has, political correctness does not seem to be found among it.
P.S. My buddy was exploring the northern border on its east end and got to a border monument. The Border patrol nabbed him in 20 seconds. Scared the sh** out of him.
A few years ago drove the Trans Canada Highway from Winnepeg to Seul St Marie (? spelling) in November.Lots of wide open spaces along the way...if ya catch my drift.A couple of times I saw the biggest friggin moose you can imagine just standing there near the tree line (which was close to the highway in many places).I was afraid they'd dash onto the highway and that my little sedan would get the worst of the encounter.
In some ways, Walker is “no worse than Trump.”
However, neither one is Mr. Perfect. And Trump is a bigger thrill.
Walker showed a lot of promise early but he is pining for the fjords now
You’re right.
But it’s still fun to watch him pee down his leg in full public view. Like a demolition derby.
He makes Dan Quayle or Joe Biden seem like a 5 time Jeopardy champ.
He wants to keep Americans from escaping once the Latin Americans have taken over here.
Team Bear!
They patrol the border loosely, looking for backpackers carrying weed.
Yeah, those icebacks are causing all sorts of problems here.
This sounds like a “well, what can I do to get some of Trump’s thunder” move.
I’d give him a HUGE hint: DROP THE POLITICAL CORRECTNESS AND CALL A SPADE A SPADE WITH THE COMMON SENSE THAT HAS LONG BEEN DENIED.
Un effing believable! The Canadians are some of our best allies.
Do we really have massive amounts of illegal Canadians sneaking across the border, taking our jobs at pennies on the dollar, robbing, murdering, raping, having their own gangs, their own cities, illegally voting etc etc?
Some how or another the RINO’s will make it a racist claim that it’s just not fair to wall off the Mexican border and not the Canadian border.
This Walker is a total POS, big time losing RINO!
I’d just love to hear Trump’s comeback on this one.
Why do we usually talk about a wall on the southern border and not the northern border? Simply because more illegals come over the southern border than the northern border.
Mexico’s border with Central America isn’t secure, and while they are far far tougher on illegals than we are, they only target illegals who try to stay in Mexico, not those who are just travelling through.
Not to mention all the Mexican citizens who decide to grab whatever cash they can from the United States to send home.
Trump: “Do you want the feeble imitation or do you want the Donald?”
No. All we need is a great negotiator for the Canadians and develop a deal that protects both nations.
