Anger over a rising murder rate and the District’s response to it boiled over into a shouting match Thursday as Mayor Muriel E. Bowser struggled to tell a crowd about a new initiative to fight crime while being shouted down by protesters.
Bowser (D) planned to announce a wide-ranging, $15 million plan to boost both community programs and police presence in response to a 43 percent spike in killings this year. The plan includes financial incentives to keep police on the force despite a looming retirement bubble, as well as legislation that would increase some penalties for violent crime and give police the power to search the residences of violent ex-offenders.
But protesters linked to a nationwide movement that has mobilized over allegations of police misconduct erupted at her first mention of putting more officers on the streets. Community activists quickly joined the chants of “Black Lives Matter” with their own demands for jobs and recreation centers.

From the article: “According to police, 10 of the nearly 60 people arrested on suspicion of homicide this year had prior homicide charges, and nearly half had arrests on prior gun-related charges.”
We have the same thing going on here in GA. Dekalb County convicted two murderers recently...horrible senseless murders. One go 20 yrs, 17 suspended. The other got 20 yrs, 15 suspended. They’re back out on the streets in 1.5 and 2.5 yrs respectively.
Un-freaking-believable, people get more time for Child Support arrears than murder.
If blacks kill blacks, that’s a natural state of affairs.
If a white police officer kills a black thug, all hell breaks loose.
For the “Black Lives Matter” crowd, some black lives are less equal than others.
Liberal, black, female, democrat Mayor of DC proposes putting more cops on the street to deal with murderers ... and the black racist chaos crowd react with mindless fury.
Sort of makes it clear that #BlackLives(DON'T)Matter isn't about protecting black people. It's about starting a race war.

They certainly look similar. OTOH, they’re taking exactly opposite approaches to violent crime.
More than likely the funding for increased ‘police presence’ will be used to send the LEO’s out of the problem areas of the City to ticket urban young moms and teenagers for texting while driving...
...a safe easy revenue grab to fund the overtime and court costs of the uncivilized usual suspects.
They are quickly becoming irrelevant in the public eye and must create the chaos to maintain their lame-stream media presence.
Recreation centers? What? Rioting in the streets and stealing merchandise from vendors depending upon your support isn't recreation enough?
And jobs? You mean, you want job that can be satisfied by lazy, entitlement, drug addled leeches with the IQ of a tree stump, right? And when your boss pleads with you to actually work, you're going to file a claim with the NLRB for discrimination?

Black lives matter is a group of human garbage looking for freebees, money, some sicophant liberal commie politician to latch on to and use to get these things and more. My one question I would ask them is How come when a black kills a black they arent there protesting? Maybe its becuase the light then shines on thier irresponsibility as parents and mature adults, and thier inability to control thier own. Balck lives matter only when white cops are involved!
