A gunman killed a reporter and videographer for a CBS affiliate in Virginia in a shooting that was broadcast live Wednesday morning.
Alison Parker and Adam Ward, a reporter and cameraman for CBS Roanoke affiliate WDBJ-TV, died in the shooting, Parker's mother confirmed to CBS News.
WDBJ-TV reports that deputies from Franklin County and Bedford County were on the scene.
The shooting happened at Bridgewater Plaza in Moneta, Virginia.
People were totally focused on their work (interview)
The scanner feed is back up, but there seems to be total silence about the shooting. They’re back to discussing flipped pickups and deer carcasses.
Why should it be my obligation to prove some other FReeper told the truth? It’s not my fault you’re too stupid and lazy to search for the information you pretend you’re interested in. If you actually were interested, you’d look it up, instead of awkwardly trying to defend muslim terrorists by demanding proof of their guilt, and insisting your muslim terrorist buddies are innocent if I don’t waste my time doing your research for you. If you want to know something that is common knowledge, look it up. If you search the pertinent words, you can’t miss. I’m not going to spoon feed it to a little troll with delusions of filling the shoes of Baghdad Bob. Go do your trolling elsewhere.
Cameras are very tricky when it comes to perceived distance. You could be 20 feet away and to the camera it looks like 3 feet.
I don’t know.
Well, that didn’t take long. Governor McAwful and Hitlery using this to advance their gun-grabbing agenda.
This killing must be real important. Other killings...well, so, so.
Flanagan was ‘fired’ from the station......
He was behind the cameraman, and Alison had a light from the camera that blinded her from seeing anything behind the cameraman. My guess.
How can I do that? We’ve never had the ability to edit posts. Don’t get yer panties in a bunch ok?
Heard he killed himself.
Lol, when they find out it’s a gay black man doing the shooting, I don’t think they’ll be so intent to talk about it.
Remember Floyd Lee Corkins?
Yeah, they shut up about him pretty quickly.
If so, I stand corrected. From what I’m seeing in this thread now it looks to be something along the lines of workplace disagreement/problems taken to an unheard of level of violence?
There are other places you can troll and deny Muslim infiltration.
In May 2014, Flanagan filed suit against the station in Roanoke General District Court, seeking money he felt he was owed and additional damages. His suit alleged discrimination by the station and named most of the WDBJ staff in his complaint, but in July 2014, the case was dismissed by a judge. Court records also show that he sued a television station where he formerly worked in Florida.

From what I’m seeing on other websites, he liked to play the “Black victim” and “Gay Victim” cards.
His sister is a principal in California that wrote a paper on “”SCHOOL LEADERS AND THE APPLICATION OF DISCIPLINE FOR AFRICAN AMERICAN AND LATINO STUDENTS”
“ that included this:
“As the daughter of a mother who endured and rose above the oppression of racism in the form of Jim Crow, I was faced with the reality that institutional racism is still alive and, to a huge degree, is a major part of my work as a school leader.”

WDBJ hires 2 veteran reporters
Roanoke Times, The (VA) - April 28, 2012
Author/Byline: Ralph Berrier Jr. ralph.berrier@roanoke.com
WDBJ-TV (Channel 7) has hired two new reporters. Orlando Salinas will be stationed in the Blacksburg-based New River Valley bureau, and Bryce Williams is a multimedia and general assignment reporter.
(snip)
Williams has worked in TV in San Francisco; Tallahassee, Fla.; Greenville, N.C.; Midland, Texas; and Savannah, Ga. Most recently, though, he worked for a communications and design firm in Sacramento, Calif.
Channel 7 News Director Dan Dennison said in a news release: “Attracting Orlando and Bryce, two veteran reporters with an enormous scope of experience to our team, is a testament to the quality and professionalism of the news produced daily by the WDBJ7 team.”
I highly doubt she was mudsharking.
Live stream of WDBJ and the SUSPECT is NOT DEAD.
Williams/Flanagan NOT dead.
