I had never heard of Rick Wilson before today, but I did a search and I see that he's not exactly well liked here. :-D

He’s very far from ‘independent’ anything.

Obama is a traitor and enemy to the United States

Trump is very much a patriot.

GOPe definition of “cognitive dissonance” means knowing the GOPe is full of shinola.

A “republican media consultant and campaign advisor”. Why would anyone need a media consultant if they’re not trying to fool the people?

Obama used a teleprompter. The Obama cult like supporters would have had the same looks on their faces if they were staring at a teleprompter. Trump doesn’t use on. Big difference.

I don’t like throngs of people who HATE America. I do like throngs of people who LOVE America. Simple.

The Cheap Labor Express and their minions are becoming unhinged that they can no longer manipulate the public into accepting the continuing colonization/cheap labor importation/invasion.

The GOP is a wholly owned subsidairy of The Cheap Labor Express.

The Ministry Of Propaganda is losing their ability to manipulate the publc as well.

Mark Steyn was talking about him today. Apparently, he was a McCain and Romney advisor.

I don’t know if it ever happened today but Mark Steyn was calling him out on Rush’s program, wanting him to call so they could discuss Trump. It sure seemed like the guy was ducking Steyn when I was able to listen.

There is some truth to the article that Trumpet does elicit a cult-like following in some quarters. Some of those people are here on Free Republic.

To them, Trumpet can do and say no wrong.

Any comment or article out there critical of Trumpet results in the inevitable “The Don was misquoted!” or “The reporter has it out for him” or the always laughable “The GOPe is attempting to ruin Trump”.

This campaign has the bad smell of the 1998 Jesse Ventura campaig for Governor in 1998. I was there. I said it back then that Jesse’s campaign was a bad college prank that went awry. The same could be said of Trumpet’s campaign.

The people who want rump are different than the people who want Obama. The Obama people had great expectations of how the government was going to change to their benefit. The trunk supports just want to bite the hell out of Washington.

I doubt that many of Trump’s supporters have adoration for the man. They’re fed up with double talk from Democrats and especially from their own Republican Party. Trump is riding this enormous wave of support because the grassroots is giving the finger to the party establishment.

If Rick Wilson can’t see the difference between 0bama and Trump on his own I don’t know how anyone can help him.

I don’t think a Trump supporter could rightly be considered part of a cult, just someone who wants their elected officials to work FOR America.

But I guess that’s a concept Mr. Wilson can’t quite grasp.

Actually, I think that Rick Wilson has a point here. Trump does seem to be creating a personality cult where his supporters don’t even seem to care what they are supporting providing he attacks the people they don’t like. I feel a little bit like a German citizen in the early 1930’s watching normally rational conservatives start to cultishly follow a strong leader that they thought would fight back and stop the communists.

Seriously if I had to pick a political philosophy for Trump I would say that it is fascism for the following reasons. 1. His support of and past involvement in crony capitalism. 2. His movements emphasis on a strong leader and a almost mystical belief that he can fix things almost without caring what his beliefs or idealogy is. 3. A nationalism that is starting to push into the overtly rascist and nativist realm. 4. A delight in watching him personally demean and attempt to destroy anyone who opposes him. Finally 5, a lack of any concern for the constitution or the separation of powers.
