There is some truth to the article that Trumpet does elicit a cult-like following in some quarters. Some of those people are here on Free Republic.
To them, Trumpet can do and say no wrong.
Any comment or article out there critical of Trumpet results in the inevitable “The Don was misquoted!” or “The reporter has it out for him” or the always laughable “The GOPe is attempting to ruin Trump”.
This campaign has the bad smell of the 1998 Jesse Ventura campaig for Governor in 1998. I was there. I said it back then that Jesse’s campaign was a bad college prank that went awry. The same could be said of Trumpet’s campaign.
I think you’re a little wide of the mark.
It’s not that Trump supporters think he
can do no wrong -— you can’t please all the
people all the time. But in areas where
supporters might disagree with Trump,
THEY DON”T CARE. Think of it as keeping
an eye on the prize and not quibbling
over shit that does not matter.
given the anger at our current situation, I call this a shout out by the loyal opposition to Obamabots:
“My imperial President TRUMPS your imperial President”
Sort of a ‘big get even’....
Yep. That's something I am always leery of. Excitement, even fervor, are OK. Worship just goes too far.
This ain't a pep rally, folks, we need to keep our heads (then, if you want to get excited, go for it).
Tilting at windmills

What you’re smelling is the stench of the gop faction of the uniparty. They’re exuding the same stench of collaboration that they have in every election since 1988.
