Makes it sounds scar-r-rier... just like “assault” or “military style” rifle.

We need to instantly retrofit all civilian tanks with seat belts and air bags.

Not too often I think.
There were few Panzers and lots of infantry.
And this was a reconnaissance vehicle.
Biggest problem with this is that it was underarmed even for for its job. Hence the Chaffee.

Wright was a passenger and was sitting on the front edge of the tank. As the tank traveled down a dirt hill, Wright fell off and landed directly in front of the tank.

The tractors on the farm my father grew up on had slots at the front of the fender with a protective rubber grommet in them. You could sit on the fenders with a decent hand hold place.
We used to drive 2000 miles up there on summer vacations in the family truckster. I had a place in the back to sleep or play in with no car seats mandatory, back in those groovy ‘70s.

These saw more service in the Pacific...Japanese tanks (when they had them) were pretty pathetic.

How many people have to suffer before we have reasonable tank control laws in this country?!?

Your picture is of a “Jeb Stuart” light tank not a Sherman. You are right though; we built thousands but lost them at 4/1 against Tighers and Panthers

Perhaps it’s just me, but I can’t find any reference to the age of either in the story. Where are you getting your information?

I wasnat the Jelly Belly store last night and wanted a sample of sour gummy worms.
Bought a bag...didn’t want to but, had to.
Went home and ate 1/2 the bag.
Woke up with a mouth full of food coloring
Drinking coffee to wash it out, this Morning

Seat belt laws are needed when riding on the front of tanks. The libs missed this one.
