I think you are right, Trump probably does employ more illegals than all the other candidates combined. He’s a businessman who employs people.
All the others are Lawyers and career politicians who really just shuffle other people’s money around. I’d exclude Ben Carson from that, for what it’s worth.
Who is better positioned to understand the mess...the employer turned politician or the professional fundraisers that need to keep the CoC masters happy with low wage workers?
I’m no big fan of Donald Trump the person, but candidate Trump the wrecking ball is the only way out of the self perpetuating scam that is the GOPe. If it turns out he’s a closet Lib then it’s no worse than what we’ve got now. Even if he’s hit and miss on conservative issues, he’s better than Hillary. Jeb is either a loser in the general or a slower path to Big Government than Hillary or supposed deep lib plant Trump.
Maybe it will be time for a constitutional conservative after the rigged game is fixed, but until then a guy like Cruz likely has no chance against GOPe, and certainly no chance at all without Trump stirring the pot.
He's not a businessman. He's real estate developer and big government hanger-on. And reality TV personality. His record as a"businessman" is pretty bad.
So the response to that is to support someone whose only criticism of Romney was the he was too tough and mean on immigration. Trump employs more illegals than all the other candidates combines and he hired one of the biggest amnesty lobbyists in politics to be his campaign manager. The chance Trump would be tough on immigration are about as much as Obama decide to cut taxes by 50%
I believe your belief in Walker is genuine. I also believe he’s from inside the GOPe system.
Trump passing conservative muster is problematic, I agree, based on some of his past statements. But he’s outside the GOPe system.
We sent GOPe “conservatives” to Washington in the last two election cycles. How has that worked out for us?
I’d ditch Trump for a different outside the system true conservative candidate who can win. Got any names for me?
The day Trump announced, he told a reporter at the presser, “I don’t want anyone’s (campaign) money.”
Why the change now? Oh, never mind.. like all of Trump’s past inconsistencies, it’s just “good business.”
The states have been on the cutting edge of turning around their governships and legislatures. THAT march needs to continue to DC.
Trump is too flawed, too compromised, too egotistical and unpredictable to be given any support and trust
You want to turn from all those worker bees who are laboring (and been winning) in the trenches to fix the Republican Party by telegraphing that a Scott Walker presidency isn’t good enough, that Trump is better? That is counterproductive and will ensure Hillary rules for 8 years.
“Atlantic City has the right to condemn...” and award the property to oligarchs like Trump who lust for it.
The guy reminds me more of Obama every day.
Pay attention to what I say, not what I do.
Funny - what was 'proven" in this article? Unless one discounts the whole thing out-of-hand as a lie, it says he will take money only if no stings are attached.
Must be that some folks who claim the emperor has no clothes are nudists themselves - and Winter's just around the bend.
PS - if you are, in fact donating towards what you claim to believe in, then i offer an up-front apology - but I doubt it will need to be cashed...
Every time nickcarraway post another wrong Trump prediction an angel gets its wings.
Simplistic as this is, Trump will weaken one of his talking points with this.
Sorry, but Scott Walker just doesn’t seem ready for the national stage yet, and added to some of the GOPe things that he’s done, I can’t support him. Hell, I’m suspicious of Ted Cruz and some of the GOPe things he’s done.
If the support for what the GOP is supposed to stand for within the party is so fragile that the election of a non GOPe nominee causes the party to fall apart, then it needed to be brought down. If Trump wins as a Republican, isn’t it good for the GOP? If they cast him out despite support from the people, what’s that say about the party?
If Trump loses to the ‘Rat after winning the nomination, is it more of a disaster than the losses we had under GOPe leadership to Obama?
I contributed to Trump by buying two of this MAGA hats :)
The GOP, let alone our Republic, doesn't need a Potemkin candidate. That's what Trump is, a faker.
If they cast him out despite support from the people, whats that say about the party?..
It means the Jonestown koolaid drinkers left an impression on a majority of voters about not getting caught up in someone's out-sized, narcissistic personality crusade.
Supporting Trump, is akin to embracing assisted suicide.
Because Trump is not known as one who lies, unlike the politicians. Trump has a 50 year record of keeping promises . If elected president, we can count on him making his best effort to fulfill all his promises.
1. Build the Wall
2. Enforce laws pertaining to illegals
3. Balance budgets
4. Middle class tax cut
5. Simplify tax code
6. Make military strength a priority
7. Tear up all foreign trade pacts which are taking our jobs, especially China & Mexico & Japan
8. Install hugely successful people from private sector for making foreign trade deals
9. Take better care of wounded vets
10. Eliminate/reduce useless federal bureaucracy
Looks bigger by orders of magnitude than crowds attracted by Bush, Walker, Rubio, etc.
I am not supporting him, I just recognize that what is happening is the result of @ss hats like yourself continuing to support the GOPe.
