Breaking: Trump Likely to be Banned from Future Republican Debates
The Political Insider ^ | August 21, 2015 | TPI Staff Writer

Posted on 08/21/2015 5:46:59 PM PDT by Din Maker

This report should make Donald Trump supporters angry! While taxpayers are often funding political debates, the Republican Party has the ultimate say over its own events. And while the GOP is supposed to stand for the principles of the Founding Fathers, it can be manipulated by the political establishment which can’t stand Trump’s conservative views.

The real reason why the GOP is focusing on Trump’s threat to run as a 3rd party candidate is it would give them grounds to boot him from future debates. The Republican Party, to protect its interests, is probably willing to boot the front-runner candidate. And they have savvy enough operatives, such as Karl Rove, who are ready to do it…

As Ben Swann explains:

Billionaire and 2016 presidential candidate Donald Trump makes new headlines every day. But something he said that he wouldn’t do during the first Republican debate could reveal some major problems with the debate system. Could the GOP ban Trump from its next debate?

The first Republican debate one week ago opened with a question specifically for Trump. Per Bret Baier:

“Who is unwilling tonight to pledge your support to the eventual nominee of the Republican Party and pledge not to run an independent campaign against that person? Raise your hand now if you won’t make that pledge tonight.”

Trump was the only candidate who said that he might run as an independent if he doesn’t get the GOP nomination. Not only is that a difficult path to take, but also an expensive one. Trump is probably the only candidate running who could afford to launch an independent campaign.

Because Trump said he would not rule out running as an independent candidate, the Republican National Committee (RNC) has now said it could ban Trump from the next debate if he won’t make that pledge.

RNC Chairman Reince Priebus has since directly requested all Republican candidates to pledge that they will not make a third-party run, according to ABC News. Those who do not pledge might not get an invite to future Republican candidate debates, and would likely be restricted from accessing party data on Republican voters.

If Trump is polling at twice the numbers of his closest challengers and as much as five times the numbers of seven of the top 10 candidates—which he is—then how could the RNC ban him from debates? Can that really be done?

The answer is yes. The RNC, just as the Democratic National Committee (DNC), is considered a private club. They make their own rules. The DNC isn’t holding a single debate until October—something that candidates like Martin O’Malley aren’t happy about. But there’s nothing they can really do.

Since many conservatives vote Republican to support our free-market, smaller-government agenda… This is sad news. The Republican Party needs to leave this critical decision up to voters. There is clearly a top front-runner (Donald Trump!) who is leading every poll by historic margins. He should be allowed to continue making his case and speaking freely… But The Donald MUST be allowed in every debate.

I did “Search”. I searched under “Trump”. I went thru every Post under “Trump” that was Posted today and did not find this article, so I went ahead and Posted. Now, having said that: Apparently a whole helluva lot of people did not see the previous Post because 118 comments have been made so far. And, whoever Posted it apparently didn’t know how to Post a proper Key Word. It only makes sense that “Trump” would be the proper Key Word. You need to get a freakin’ life so you won’t have nothing to do but sit at a computer all day being the freakin’ Post Policeman for Free Republic. It’s people like you that make me glad that I signed on to Twitter a few weeks ago and 80% of my Forum activities is now on Twitter so I don’t have to put up with assholes like you. Now, go get a freakin’ life.

If he is banned, he will just buy an hour of time to answer all the asked questions during the debate.

I did “Search”. I searched under “Trump”.

Learn how to use the search feature. You're supposed to search the title. Had you, you would not have posted your duplicate post, something that if frowned upon regardless how many might not have seen the original.

And you should seek help for your anger issues. You really do come across as being borderline certifiable.

Have a nice night, runt.

Yeah, but didn’t Trump just say something to the effect that he might not appear at the next debate unless CNN pays him ten million? ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________- There you go again Hawthorn. We all know you hate Trump, but, you are losing what little credibility you have left. HE DID NOT SAY THAT... and you know he didn't. Well, you're so freakin' ignorant, you probably don't know any facts: HERE IS WHAT HE SAID A-HOLE: He asked a hypothetical: "What if I told CNN I wouldn't participate in their Debate unless they donated $10 million to a charity?" THAT WAS WHAT HE SAID. You must stop getting on the computer when you're drunk!

To be fair, Trump does not have to rule out anything. He is the front runner.

Right.
Trump is way ahead in the polls of Republican presidential candidates.
Trump is drawing huge crowds at speaking events when, for instance, the presumptive Democrat candidate Hillary Clinton can't draw flies.
Trump gives Fox huge TV debate ratings.
But the GOP establishment, the lame stream media, and Trump-bashing-morons posing as conservatives (some of which post right here on FR) continue to want to shut him down.
Ted Cruz is my candidate. He is clearly brilliant, and is the most consistently true to the Constitution of any candidate out there. But Cruz has got to get past the GOPe --- a formidable task --- before he can challenge the Democrat candidate with the chance then to reverse all of the great harm that Obamaism has wrought to America.
In that regard I'm thoroughly enjoying Trump fearlessly bloodying the GOPe and the lame stream media (now including Fox), and in a best case scenario, running interference for an ultimate Cruz presidency.
I don't think we have the body of information on Trump's complete politics, but it certainly can't be worse then the legions of RINO candidates such as Jeb, Christy, Kasich, etc., as well as any Democrat, should the Trump candidacy actually prevail.

Conjecture to try to get those who like what Trump is doing to experience the same panic the Left/GOPe/RINOs are experiencing....

If they want to insure Trump skyrocket's to a romp, they will try it...

>> the Donald said that he wants a 10M charitable donation given for his appearance in the debate <<

Well, OK, as long as it’s not to a “charity” like the Donald J. Trump Foundation, or the Bill, Hilary & Chelsea Clinton Foundation.

But in all seriousness, it seems to me that DT is just blowing smoke again. He seems willing to say anything outrageous as long as it keeps him in the headlines.

I think the most pertinent question in this regard is whether our celebrity-worshipping public will continue to lap up this kind of pablum all thru the November 2016 election, or whether Trump’s carnival-barker shtick will wear thin long before. I’m not gonna predict, at least not for the time being.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, that anybody who engages in such baseless and childish personal attacks is proving that he has lost the argument.

Nobody is going to ban Donald Trump from the debates. If they somehow tried to do it nobody would watch the debates because they would be too busy watching Donald yelling about it on a Don Lemon interview on CNN. LOL!
