This report should make Donald Trump supporters angry! While taxpayers are often funding political debates, the Republican Party has the ultimate say over its own events. And while the GOP is supposed to stand for the principles of the Founding Fathers, it can be manipulated by the political establishment which cant stand Trumps conservative views.
The real reason why the GOP is focusing on Trumps threat to run as a 3rd party candidate is it would give them grounds to boot him from future debates. The Republican Party, to protect its interests, is probably willing to boot the front-runner candidate. And they have savvy enough operatives, such as Karl Rove, who are ready to do it
As Ben Swann explains:
Billionaire and 2016 presidential candidate Donald Trump makes new headlines every day. But something he said that he wouldnt do during the first Republican debate could reveal some major problems with the debate system. Could the GOP ban Trump from its next debate?
The first Republican debate one week ago opened with a question specifically for Trump. Per Bret Baier:
Who is unwilling tonight to pledge your support to the eventual nominee of the Republican Party and pledge not to run an independent campaign against that person? Raise your hand now if you wont make that pledge tonight.
Trump was the only candidate who said that he might run as an independent if he doesnt get the GOP nomination. Not only is that a difficult path to take, but also an expensive one. Trump is probably the only candidate running who could afford to launch an independent campaign.
Because Trump said he would not rule out running as an independent candidate, the Republican National Committee (RNC) has now said it could ban Trump from the next debate if he wont make that pledge.
RNC Chairman Reince Priebus has since directly requested all Republican candidates to pledge that they will not make a third-party run, according to ABC News. Those who do not pledge might not get an invite to future Republican candidate debates, and would likely be restricted from accessing party data on Republican voters.
If Trump is polling at twice the numbers of his closest challengers and as much as five times the numbers of seven of the top 10 candidateswhich he isthen how could the RNC ban him from debates? Can that really be done?
The answer is yes. The RNC, just as the Democratic National Committee (DNC), is considered a private club. They make their own rules. The DNC isnt holding a single debate until Octobersomething that candidates like Martin OMalley arent happy about. But theres nothing they can really do.
Since many conservatives vote Republican to support our free-market, smaller-government agenda
This is sad news. The Republican Party needs to leave this critical decision up to voters. There is clearly a top front-runner (Donald Trump!) who is leading every poll by historic margins. He should be allowed to continue making his case and speaking freely
But The Donald MUST be allowed in every debate.
I did “Search”. I searched under “Trump”. I went thru every Post under “Trump” that was Posted today and did not find this article, so I went ahead and Posted. Now, having said that: Apparently a whole helluva lot of people did not see the previous Post because 118 comments have been made so far. And, whoever Posted it apparently didn’t know how to Post a proper Key Word. It only makes sense that “Trump” would be the proper Key Word. You need to get a freakin’ life so you won’t have nothing to do but sit at a computer all day being the freakin’ Post Policeman for Free Republic. It’s people like you that make me glad that I signed on to Twitter a few weeks ago and 80% of my Forum activities is now on Twitter so I don’t have to put up with assholes like you. Now, go get a freakin’ life.
Posting BS.

Nobody put a gun to your head and made you read it asshole.
If he is banned, he will just buy an hour of time to answer all the asked questions during the debate.
They (GOP establishment) keep calling $$$$ and I don’t answer . . .Caller ID.
The GOP establishment stands for nothing once again.
Likely... probably
So really, Chicken Little, you have no idea.

Learn how to use the search feature. You're supposed to search the title. Had you, you would not have posted your duplicate post, something that if frowned upon regardless how many might not have seen the original.
And you should seek help for your anger issues. You really do come across as being borderline certifiable.
Have a nice night, runt.
Articles like this are nothing more than click bait purely and simply.

And you took the bait. LMAO!
Hawthorn, you just keep making a fool of yourself. You think this article is just “click bait”..... you think it’s crap, but you read it and you can’t keep from commenting on it. Why don’t you just move on. Your allowing people to see just how ignorant you really are.
Yes, of course. I was addressing message (by the author), not the messenger (you). Apologies for any confusion.
To be fair, Trump does not have to rule out anything. He is the front runner.
I guess they like no rating.
If they want to insure Trump skyrocket's to a romp, they will try it...
>> the Donald said that he wants a 10M charitable donation given for his appearance in the debate <<
Well, OK, as long as it’s not to a “charity” like the Donald J. Trump Foundation, or the Bill, Hilary & Chelsea Clinton Foundation.
But in all seriousness, it seems to me that DT is just blowing smoke again. He seems willing to say anything outrageous as long as it keeps him in the headlines.
I think the most pertinent question in this regard is whether our celebrity-worshipping public will continue to lap up this kind of pablum all thru the November 2016 election, or whether Trump’s carnival-barker shtick will wear thin long before. I’m not gonna predict, at least not for the time being.
>> you’re so freakin’ ignorant, you probably don’t know any facts <<
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, that anybody who engages in such baseless and childish personal attacks is proving that he has lost the argument.
Nobody is going to ban Donald Trump from the debates. If they somehow tried to do it nobody would watch the debates because they would be too busy watching Donald yelling about it on a Don Lemon interview on CNN. LOL!
