Here is the Trump political logic: Alabama is extremely critical, a close associate of Trumps told me (actually, we agreed Id call him a close associate of Mr. Trump). You have Iowas caucus on February 1st, New Hampshire on the 9th, and South Carolina on the 27th
. The race, this associate explained, would not be wrapped up by then. According to this political calculus, the crucial moment arrives three days later, on March 1st, with the SEC primarythe belt of Southern states that encompass the Southeastern Athletic Conferencewhen Alabama, Texas, Georgia, Arkansas and several others hold their primaries.
Trump is currently leading the polls in many of these states. A new Texas poll has him in first place, beating actual Texans Ted Cruz and Rick Perry. Hes dominating the field in Alabama, as well, doubling the support of second-place finisher Jeb Bush, from neighboring Florida. (Trump is winning in Florida, too, according to a new Quinnipiac University poll, which, although it is an SEC state, doesnt hold its primary until March 15th).
If Trump sweeps the early states, or even just wins Iowa and South Carolina, these advisers believe he could effectively lock down the Republican nomination by sweeping the SEC primary on March 1st. He feels he wins the nomination on 1 March w/ a sweep of the populist anti-establishment South, another adviser emailed. Thats when Trumps nationalism coupled with Sessions populism comes to full fruition.
Its not an Alabama rally, its a southern rally. Alabamas being chosen, writes Green, because its Jeff Sessionss home state, another way for Trump to signal his commitment to border-hawkishness. Usually its Florida that enjoys the prestige of being fourth out of the four key early-state primaries,

Seems the pressure to publish early and often has the Hot Air people embracing some seriously dumb and often liberal questions.
...Does anyone know if this will be online...
WRKG TV in Mobile is broadcasting it live tonight at 7PM Central.
They may stream it on their website.
WHY? FFRREEEDDOMMMMM, that’s why.
Tnx.
There will be live stream coverage of his appearance.
Thrump 1 just did a fly over of Mobile and the Stadium. Low enough everyone can see the big black 757 with “THRUMP” on the sides.
So Trump can take attention away from Ben Carson and make Jeb the nominee. Now I'm confused. I thought Trump was doing this entire campaign so he could hand it all over to Cruz. You know, because Cruz is so much smarter and the most conservative candidate but apparently not capable of winning on his own.
Oh wait. What happened to the idea Trump was in it just to get his friend Hillary elected?
It just occurred to me that the Clintons were shocked when the voters went with Obama.
The Bushes are shocked that the voters are going with Trump.
CNN freaking out over the Trump flyover.
The first Bush is why were in this mess he toss Reagan;s revolution the first dayHe would have never been elected if the voters didn't think he would carry on what Reagan started. He was elected to continue what he called Reagans VOODOO economics...His "read my lips" is what did him in by the very people he was trying to impress (liberals) by raising taxes.
Put your dunce cap on George and go sit facing the wall in the corner.
